Since its establishment in 2018, Wanquan Planting Professional Cooperative has been committed to growing traditional crops. This year, after preliminary investigation and in-depth research, Zhu Xiangsheng, the head of the cooperative, plans to change to ginger. In order to ensure the success of planting, he specially hired technicians from Shandong Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. to carry out guidance in the field, and selected Shannong No. 1 ginger varieties with less ginger shreds, delicate flesh, moderate spicy taste, and high quality.

After the early stage of soil turning, insecticide, ridge forming and other operations, the ginger planting in the planting base seems busy and orderly. In the process of planting ginger seeds, the cooperative still insists on choosing manual operation at any cost to ensure that the ginger seeds are more flat and uniform, and to ensure the later growth of ginger. In terms of management, the cooperative adopts advanced automatic energy-saving sprinkler irrigation equipment and water and fertilizer integrated pipe network technology to achieve intelligent irrigation, so as to reduce production costs and improve yield and quality. The growth cycle of ginger is about 7 months, and around November this year, the ginger harvest period will be ushered in.
Yangzhai Village actively cultivates "one village, one product", develops ginger planting according to local conditions, drives more than 200 people in the village to find employment nearby, broadens the channels for villagers to get rich, explores the way of village collective economic growth, further stimulates the vitality of the rural economy, feeds back the development of agriculture and rural areas and increases farmers' income and gets rich, and provides strong support for comprehensively promoting rural revitalization.
