Fast Technology reported on April 17 that according to the official release of GAC Aion, the official price of the 2024 AION SMAX will be reduced by 10,000 yuan, and the official guide price will be adjusted to 139,900-169,900 yuan.
The AION S MAX is positioned as a compact sedan, with the 70 series models equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack with a combined range of 510 km, while the 80 series models use a ternary lithium battery pack with a range of 610 km.
In terms of appearance, the 2024 AION S MAX retains the closed front face design common to BEVs, while the rear features continuous taillights.
The body dimensions are 4810/1880/1515 mm in length, width and height, and the wheelbase is 2750 mm.
Inside, the car is equipped with a 14.6-inch floating center display and full LCD instrument cluster, the lower part of the center console is decorated with wood grain, and the three-spoke D-shaped steering wheel is clad in two colors of leather.
In terms of power and range, the AION S MAX 70 model is equipped with a drive motor with a maximum power of 150 kW, a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.5 seconds, and is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery of 59.5 kWh or 60 kWh, with a range of 510 km in comprehensive working conditions.
The AION S MAX 80 MODEL, ON THE OTHER HAND, HAS A MAXIMUM DRIVE MOTOR OF 180 KILOWATTS, A 0-100 KM/H ACCELERATION TIME OF 6.7 SECONDS, AND IS EQUIPPED WITH A 67.9 KILOWATT-HOUR TERNARY LITHIUM BATTERY WITH A COMBINED RANGE OF 610 KM.
In the past six months, the cumulative sales of the AION S have reached 68,428 units, ranking second in the compact car market, second only to the BYD Qin PLUS EV.
