Considered a still immature player who may need more development to contribute at the NBA level, Shaumsh opted to test the waters to get feedback on his game during the tryout process and then possibly play a year in college to further develop his skills.
Shomsh has visited USC and the University of Texas, and with USC head coach Andy Enfield hired as SMU head coach, the coaching staff has all moved to Southern Methodist University in the Dallas area.
