From 30 years of relying on German imports, to now Germany's reverse procurement of Chinese manufacturing, this is a breakthrough for Wucheng to rely on scientific and technological innovation to achieve self-reliance and self-reliance.
The deep hole scraping and rolling machine can process the inner hole of an 8-meter-long steel pipe into a mirror effect. This kind of pipe fitting is mainly used in various mechanical hydraulic cylinders. In the past, this kind of high-end machine tool equipment in China can only be imported from Germany, and many enterprises that have a demand for machine tools have eaten the closed door of agents. "A bed is hard to find" and the situation of being controlled by others makes domestic machine tool companies very uncomfortable.
In 2010, Hongxin Machine Tool began to develop deep hole scraping and rolling machine tools. The key to the development of the machine is the internal scraping and tumbling tool. Due to foreign technical barriers, the R&D team can only find another way. However, after six years, the first tool developed by the company was not satisfactory and could not meet the high-intensity production needs.
The company initially used ordinary supporting workpieces, which did not match the demand for high-precision equipment. The cost of developing new supporting workpieces is quite high. The machine tool industry has been developing in Wucheng for many years, and the problems faced by Hongxin Company are not isolated cases. Faced with the pain points of transformation and upgrading, in 2018, Wucheng County built a precision machinery industrial park to reduce production and research and development costs by supplementing the whole industrial chain and improving supporting manufacturers. However, it is not easy to attract high-quality machine tool companies.
"People ask us, what about the administrative approval procedures, what is the business environment? Before Wucheng County did not have such a high-end manufacturing cluster, can the industrial park really be built?" said Cui Hanchun, head of the Wucheng County Precision Machinery Industry Center Park.
These three questions have brought great pressure, and at the same time, they have also pointed out the direction of work for the local government. Through continuous improvement of supporting facilities and optimization of the business environment, the park has attracted more than 20 high-quality enterprises.

In 2019, Hongxin Machine Tool cooperated with several industry-leading enterprises to establish a new company - Shandong Jingzuan Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. Gather superior strength and focus on tool research and development. Three years later, a new domestic scraping and tumbling tool came out, ending the 30-year history of domestic enterprises relying on imports.

Subsequently, the domestic deep hole scraping and tumbling machine tool was also successfully developed. This broke the German monopoly that had existed for more than three decades. For a time, machine tools were exported to more than 20 countries and regions such as Russia and Singapore. In 2023, Hongxin Machine Tool will receive the first order from Germany.
At present, the scraping and rolling tools produced by Hongxin machine tool account for 80% of the national market share. The "counterattack" journey of a machine tool, a reverse procurement spanning decades. Behind this, it is inseparable from the vigorous development of the mainland's manufacturing industry.
