On April 9, the exchange activity of "Exploring the Development Path: China-Tanzania Development Experience Dialogue" was held at China Agricultural University in Beijing. Xu Xiuli, Dean of the College of International Development and Global Agriculture at China Agricultural University, summarized the path of gradual development that China follows and its development transformation based on the conditions of small farmers in large countries. She stressed that agriculture plays a very important role in the development process of developing countries, and effective government policy support and scientific and technological innovation play a key role in improving agricultural production efficiency and ensuring food security.
It is understood that since 2011, the team of Professor Li Xiaoyun of China Agricultural University has cooperated with the local government and agricultural universities in Morogoro Province to continue to promote Sino-Tanzania agricultural poverty alleviation cooperation projects such as "Small Technology, Big Harvest" and "Small Beans, Big Nutrition". By carrying out a community-based village-level poverty alleviation model, an agricultural science and technology transfer model with labor-intensive technology sharing as the core, and sharing China's experience in agricultural development, we will promote the internal driving force of Tanzania's agricultural development and poverty alleviation, and gradually realize the agricultural development mechanism of "university-local government-farmer" tripartite cooperation.
