IT Home reported on April 15 that SAIC Volkswagen's new Passat Pro appeared at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology today, and the "ID photo" has now been announced.
Compared to the Passat on sale, the Passat Pro has a new family-style design language and looks closer to the ID. series. According to the declaration information, the new Passat Pro has a length, width and height of 5006/1850/1489mm, and a wheelbase of 2871mm. The new car can be equipped with optional bumpers, headlights, radiator grille, door handles, front camera, rear markings, and more.
For comparison, the Passat currently on sale has a length, width and height of 4948/1836/1469mm and a wheelbase of 2871mm. In other words, the new car has further increased the body size while the wheelbase remains the same.
In terms of power, the car is equipped with 1.5T and 2.0T engines, the former with a maximum power of 118kW and the latter with a maximum power of 162kW, both provided by Shanghai Volkswagen Powertrain Co., Ltd.
The 2024 Beijing Auto Show will open on April 25, and whether this new car will be unveiled or not, IT Home will continue to pay attention and bring follow-up reports.
