Wei County, known as Ulzhou in ancient times, is one of the sixteen states of Yanyun, and is historically located at the intersection of farming culture and nomadic culture. It is bordered by North China in the north, Datong in the west, and Beijing and Tianjin in the east, so the strategic location is quite important.
For a long time in the past, the ancestors of Ulju lived by water, built villages and forts on both sides of the Huliu River, reclaimed the land, and gradually formed their own unique regional culture. The Ulju Babaizhuang Fort we see now was partly established during the Ming Dynasty, and partly in the form of a village before the Ming Dynasty, and the earliest can be traced back to the Warring States Period.
The common thing about the 800 Zhuang Fort in Ulzhou is that the fort wall is high, and the fort gate is thick, which can play a role in sheltering the people of a village and resisting the invasion of foreign enemies and bandits. The difference is that each castle is built according to the situation, and the internal architecture is also different. Ancestral halls, temples, theaters, dwellings, etc. all have their own characteristics, which fully reflect the wisdom and wisdom of the local people in each village.
Later, with the end of the era of cold weapons, Ulju Babaizhuang Fort also lost its defensive function. The complicated wind and rain and the long years have also made these Zhuangbao old and youthful.
When I was a child, my friends and I used to drill in and out of the walls of the Fort with Tooth, doing hide and seek and play. We often climbed the fort gate tower along the dirt slope without steps, and the village was at the foot, and our hearts were full of youthful pride.
In this way, we and our grandparents have been guarding the dilapidated fort made of loess, going in and out from the gate of the fort, going to the loess for spring planting and autumn harvest, and eating millet and yellow cake to spend ordinary days.
In the 21st century, with the strength of the country and the prosperity of the people, the construction of a new countryside is in full swing on 9.6 million square kilometers of land. The ancient Ulzhou Babaizhuang Fort has also caught up with this highlight moment and entered an unprecedented road of development and construction.
Take my hometown of Bubeibao Village as an example, in recent years, the state has spent huge sums of money to harden the road surface and build a fitness plaza. In particular, the restoration of the ancient building of the old fort, after several years, finally made this pearl inlaid in the western suburbs of Ulju and the ancient town of Nuanquan tourist line sweep away the dust and shine brightly.
Nowadays, in the 800 ancient forts of Ulzhou, the streets are cleaned up, and the ancient style is new. In the new village outside Zhuangbao, the people are happy and laughing. The ancient Zhuangbao of Ulju will take the express train of the times, in the hands of the hard-working and intelligent Ulzhou people, to create brilliance and show youth again.
