The history of Loch Lomond Distillery can be traced back to 1814 and is now part of the Loch Lomond Group (in 2019, China-based Hillhouse Capital acquired Loch Lomond Group, see "Hillhouse Capital's Acquisition of Loch Lomond Group in Scotland!"). The distillery was founded in 1964 by Duncan Thomas and Barton Brands, an American company, and then opened in 1965. Loch Romain Distillery is one of the few large-scale distilleries in operation in Scotland that can produce both malt and grain whisky. In addition, Loch Romain Distillery currently has three types of four types of stills, namely: pot stills, pot and continuous mixed reflux stills (also known as mixed blood stills or straight-necked pot stills), stainless steel continuous stills, and pure copper continuous stills. This makes it one of the largest whisky distilleries in Scotland with the most comprehensive range of stills. At the same time, Loch Romain Distillery has almost 10 sub-brands such as Old Rhosdhu, Inchmurrin, Inchfad and Inchmoan. And theoretically speaking, by adjusting the stills and blending the original liquor distilled by different stills, the types of whisky raw liquor that Lomain Lake can produce can theoretically reach dozens of kinds. Add to this the barley, yeast, peat and oak barrels and other elements that can be innovated, and Loch Romain has a lot more to offer.
In April 2022, Loch Lomond Distillery announced a complete refurbishment of its whisky models, as detailed in "Loch Lomond Whisky Redress!".
After two years, on April 10, 2024, Loch Lombon announced the launch of a new 25-year-old whisky, adding it to the regular wine line, and also selling it in new packaging. This 25-year-old wine is 46% ABV and has a capacity of 700ml.

Notes of toasted oak and coconut, fresh pears and rich spices;

Delicious caramel, apricot and pear flavours are accompanied by fresh lemon juice and hints of cinnamon spices.
