On April 11, the reporter visited again, and a dry dock with an area of 60,000 square meters came into view, workers were prefabricating tunnel immersed tubes, and two immersed tube inner molds had been formed. It is understood that since the start of construction last year, the construction rhythm is tight, and it has entered the stage of immersed tube prefabrication, and plans to complete the immersed tube prefabrication work with a total length of 316 meters and a total weight of about 140,000 tons in October this year.

The Shunde Lungui Road project has entered the stage of immersed tube prefabrication.

At 10 o'clock in the morning of April 11, in the dry dock of the Lungui Road project next to the Tanzhou waterway, three tower cranes tens of meters high are lifting a stack of steel bars back and forth, four 25-ton truck cranes are lifting and hoisting a piece of immersed tube prefabricated formwork, hundreds of workers are busy in different corners of steel bar binding, formwork assembly, concrete pouring and other work, the scene is in full swing construction scene.

According to reports, the project is an important node project of the northern extension of Lungui Road in Shunde District, which adopts a two-way eight-lane immersed tunnel through the Tanzhou waterway, and will become the largest inland river immersed tunnel in China after completion. Its immersed pipe section is 316 meters long, a total of 4 pipe sections, the pipe section is prefabricated by the axis dry dock method, the dry dock is located on the south bank of the Tanzhou waterway, and the butt end is located on the north bank of the Tanzhou waterway.

The project started construction in March last year and is progressing well. At present, the project is divided into south bank, north bank and water operation area, with a total of about 500 construction personnel on site, and a 24-hour alternate shift system is implemented. Among them, the construction focus is mainly on the South Bank project, which entered the prefabricated construction of immersed tubes in March this year and will continue until October this year.

"The immersed tube section is 40.5 meters long and 10.65 meters high, which is a highlight of the project, but also a difficult point in the project, which is challenging. Zhang Lei, deputy chief engineer of the Shunde Lungui Road Project Department of CCCC First Harbor Bureau, introduced that in the process of immersed tube prefabrication, 4 pipe sections will be split into 16 small pipe sections for construction, and the first and second small pipe sections are currently being prefabricated. In October this year, after the prefabrication of the 4 pipe sections is completed, the project department will inject water into the dry dock, and then carry out floating leak detection on the immersed pipe, and then dock and install the immersed pipe and the docking end of the north bank in accordance with the construction sequence of the design drawings.

According to the plan, the Lungui Road project will be ready for dry docking in 2025 and will be completed and opened to traffic in 2027. At that time, citizens can drive 300 meters to cross the Tanzhou Waterway and directly arrive at Chencun Town from Beijiao Town.

It is understood that the Lungui Road Project (Hengyi Road - Hengwu Road Section) is an important north-south traffic artery in Foshan's "ten vertical and twelve horizontal" expressway network. After its completion, it will alleviate the north-south traffic pressure in Shunde, and will also connect the north-south and north-south metropolitan centers of Shunde, and string the core towns of Sanlongwan such as Dali and Guicheng in the South China Sea into a chain, becoming a link for regional development and construction, which is of great significance for promoting regional economic development along the route.
