On April 11, the first phase of the 2024 "Gravity of the Pride and Piloting the Three Enlightenment" series of expert talents entering the campus was successfully held in the Zhiyuan Center of Chengdu Guangrong Primary School. Dr. Lin Gang, deputy chief engineer and professor-level senior engineer of the Underground Railway Design and Research Institute of the Second Academy of China Railway, was invited to open a wonderful science class for more than 960 students online and offline. Dr. Lin Gang graduated from the Department of Bridge and Tunnel Engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University, studied in tunnel and underground engineering for 10 years, engaged in subway and national railway design for nearly 20 years, and successively participated in the design of urban rail transit, national railway tunnel and municipal tunnel engineering in Chengdu, Qingdao, Chongqing, Zhengzhou and other cities.
Under the guidance of the Talent Office of the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee, the event was jointly organized by the Chengdu Talent Development Promotion Center, the Talent Office of the Jinniu District Party Committee, the Party History Research Office of the Jinniu District Party Committee, the Education Bureau of Jinniu District, and the Chengdu Talent Development Promotion Association.
At the event site, Dr. Lin Gang explained the relevant knowledge of subway design and construction to the students in a vivid, interesting and simple way from the origin of the subway, the construction process, the application of the shield machine and the planning of the Chengdu subway.
Before the theme sharing, the students filled in the learning task list in advance with many questions about the subway, a "good partner" for daily travel. After more than 40 student representatives from different grades listened to Dr. Lin Gang's sharing, the "little reporters" who came with questions scrambled to raise their hands to find answers to the questions in their hearts. Dr. Lin Gang patiently and meticulously answered their questions for the students, guiding them to be good at observing life, thinking positively, asking bold questions, and being brave in innovation, so as to achieve more "whimsical".
In the interactive game, four groups of students became "little subway planners", who carefully searched for the designated operating lines in the Chengdu metro route map, and through their daily observation and accumulation, filled in the corresponding colors for the lines, marked important stations, and independently designed a new Chengdu metro line after group discussions. "Our team designed a line that connects Chengdu's popular tourist attractions with the railway station, and makes it convenient for tourists to travel in Chengdu through the loop line. "In order to alleviate the traffic pressure of travel, our line has designed a direct line from various railway stations in the southeast and northwest to Shuangliu and Tianfu airports. ”...... Each of the "Little Subway Planners" elaborated on their design concepts, and Dr. Lin Gang also commented and exchanged views with them one by one on the spot.
