I grew up knowing that I was different because I was one of the Siamese sisters of Mexican descent. My sister and I share the same body, and everything we have in common, including feeling the sweetness and pain of love.
I still remember that day, my boyfriend Kevin and I were walking by the sea, and the afterglow of the setting sun shone on us, reflecting the sparkling waves of the sea. Kevin held my hand tightly, his eyes full of tenderness and love.

However, at this sweet moment, all of a sudden, I felt a wave of dizziness and my body began to shake.
"Maria, what's wrong with you?" asked Kevin nervously.
I felt my consciousness start to blur, and I desperately tried to stay awake, but everything was getting blurred.
"Kevin, I'...... I don't know......" I barely uttered a few words, and then I lost consciousness.
When I woke up again, I found myself in a hospital bed, Kevin holding my hand tightly, his eyes full of worry and unease.
"Maria, you're finally awake!" Kevin was immediately relieved to see me wake up.
I sat up staggeringly, and I felt my head feel a little dizzy.
"What happened? How could I be in the hospital?" I asked.
Kevin sighed, a flash of pain in his eyes.
"Maria, you've passed out. The doctor said you might be overdrawn. Kevin explained.
I remembered a time before when I was busy with work and family and rarely took a break. Perhaps, this fainting is just my body reminding me to pay attention to protect myself.
"I'm sorry, Kevin. I didn't take good care of myself. I said with some guilt.
Kevin held my hand tightly, his eyes full of love and understanding.
"Don't worry, Maria. I will always be there for you, take care of you, and protect you. Kevin's voice was gentle and firm.
I felt a sense of happiness and peace of mind knowing that with Him by my side, I would never feel alone and helpless.
We hugged each other tightly and I felt his warmth and love, and it was the best moment of my life. I know that no matter what difficulties and challenges I will encounter in the future, I will not be afraid, because I have a man who loves me like life, and he is my Kevin.
