The use of unqualified elevator installation cases

An elevator fault warning prompt
One afternoon in 2023, an elevator failure warning popped up on the smart elevator supervision platform, showing that the elevator inspection was unqualified because the "three-way call" of the elevator installed in a community in the jurisdiction failed.
What is a "three-way call"? It refers to the communication equipment between the host of the management center, the elevator car phone, and the elevator machine room phone. When the elevator fails, the "three-way call" is an important means for rescuing the passengers, once the "three-way call" fails, it will lead to poor rescue and greatly increase the risk of safety accidents.
In the absence of a smart elevator platform system, such elevator inspection failure reports will not be pushed to the law enforcement system. With this intelligent system, information sharing between law enforcement officers and elevator inspection agencies has been realized. Through the real-time remote monitoring function, the law enforcement officers have mastered the illegal facts that the above-mentioned unqualified elevators are still in use.
Immediately deactivate elevators that pose a safety hazard
Law enforcement officers immediately rushed to the scene and found that 60% of the residents of the building where the elevator is located are elderly, and the elevator has become a necessary tool for them to go up and down the stairs.
The law enforcement officers immediately contacted the property management company and asked to stop using the problem elevator immediately, post an elevator suspension announcement, do a good job of vigilance, and inform the property company that the elevator should not be used before passing the inspection.
The units involved are to be punished in accordance with law
During the inquiry, the property company thought that as long as everything was handed over to the maintenance unit, it could be done once and for all. In fact, the property company, as the user unit, should fulfill the legal obligations of elevator maintenance and safe operation.
Taking into account the needs of residents, the law enforcement officers urged the property management company to repair it immediately and submit an application for re-inspection to a professional organization in a timely manner. Three days later, the elevator passed the inspection and was able to resume use.
The above-mentioned property company's use of elevators that failed to pass the inspection violated the provisions of Article 40, Paragraph 3 of the Special Equipment Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, and the Putuo District Market Supervision Bureau imposed an administrative penalty of a fine on it in accordance with the law.
