In the design process of the project, a large number of symbols are needed, when the user's symbol is a non-standard symbol or want to build the user's own symbol library, the user needs to create the symbol, so how to create the symbol? Let's take a look at the specific operation.
Steps:
1. First, open the Symbol Manager.
2. Select the category for which you want to create symbols, for example, select Circuit Breaker and click the New button. Or click New to modify the classification in the attributes.
3. Fill in the basic information and characteristics of the symbol in the symbol properties window.
Basic information:
(1) Title: It is the only place used to name the symbol, and the naming rules comply with the rules of filling in Windows files, and do not support special characters;
(2) Description: It is to express the purpose of the symbol, and it will also be viewed with the description when selecting the symbol in the future;
(3) Classification: distinguish according to the function of the symbol, which is convenient for later drawing search;
(4) Symbol type: It is used to distinguish the symbols used in different types of drawings. In general, the symbol used in the schematic is selected as Multi-Purpose Symbol;
(5) Drawing unit system: for domestic standards, select [Metric];
(6) Database: In order to facilitate management and search, it is recommended that the database should be selected as a company-specific database;
(7) Label source: You can set a specific label for the symbol.
4. Once the new one is complete, double-click the open symbol. At the bottom right of the software, right-click to open the drawing parameters and set, snap spacing: 2.5, grid spacing: 5, if the reference design standard is not GB, it can be set according to the actual standard (the snapping spacing can be adjusted to fit the drawing by processing symbol details);
5. Draw symbols through the functions of [Drawing] and [Modify] in the menu bar, where the spacing of the loop connection points is 5;
6. Making good use of annotations will help symbols be easier to read. Check and add the required attributes and place them in the appropriate position;
7. You can quickly add connection points on the [Multiple Connection Points] button, select [Add] or [Initialize from Device Model] to create;
8. If there is a font requirement, you can modify it to the desired font from [Text Style].
9. Finally, add an Insertion Point to locate the symbol datum.
