Xunzi Fu

Fu, which is also a style of recitation, also rhymes.

But the sentence structure is not like poetry, but like prose, which has no fixed format, and can be said to be rhyming prose.

Fu, which later developed into an important literary genre in Chinese literature, was originally Xunzi, so this article is also an important material for the study of rhyme.

There are five articles in this article, each of which says one thing. The first half of the sentence is more neat, similar to the "Book of Songs", the second half is more scattered culture, more similar to "Chu Ci", the content is to guess a thing, and finally tell the riddle.

The five articles are respectively about etiquette, knowledge, clouds, silkworms, and needles. Advocating etiquette and knowledge is Xunzi's doctrine, and clouds, silkworms, and needles are metaphors for supporting things, which are still the proposition of advocating etiquette and righteousness.

Finally, a poem and a song, not a riddle, but a socio-political issue of the time.

It is virtuous and does not abandon anyone, it has all five colors and becomes a pattern, it comes and goes dimly, it is unpredictable, like a god, it enters and exits in a hurry, and no one knows its entry and exit. The benevolent people are deposed and impoverished, the arrogant thugs are reckless, the world is dark and dangerous, and the elites of the times are afraid of losing their light. The dragon is regarded as a gecko, and the owl is regarded as a phoenix. Prince Bigan was disemboweled, and Confucius was trapped in Chen Kuang. Plainly speaking, their wisdom is so clever and bright, and their melancholy and gloomy are so ominous.

Contrary to the times, they want to promote etiquette and righteousness universally. The sky of light is gone, and the worries are boundless and infinitely long. There must be repetition for thousands of years, and this is the norm in ancient times.

Disciple study hard, and God will not forget you. The saint waits for the good times again. The disciples are all ignorant and want to hear what you say repeatedly.

　　His little song said: Thinking of the other far away, how stuffy, benevolent and violent. Loyal ministers are in danger, and slanderers are subdued.

　　Qi, jade, Yao, beads, I don't know how to admire, miscellaneous cloth and silk, I don't know the difference.
