The Fox 32 fork has always been a major player in the XC and mountain marathon world, where weight is one of the prerequisites for speed. Now this popular XC fork has received a bold update designed to improve handling suspension efficiency while also significantly reducing weight.
The most noticeable change in the new FOX32 is the reversed fork bridge, and the FOX has also made the fork bridge hollow out to further reduce the weight. In addition to this, the interior also features a new GripSL damping. The new 32 fork is only available in a 100mm travel version, which allows the team to focus on optimizing every part of the fork.

The stiff optimized fork crown is an interesting detail. The engineering team behind this project decided to avoid the typical method of fork offset and instead tilt the struts inside the crown to get the same fork shape. This means that the 7000 Series Aluminum Fork Crown is no offset, but the fork still achieves the required 44mm offset.
The new GripSL is designed to provide more damping than previous generations, similar to the more gravity-focused GripX and X2 models. It comes with a 3-position adjustment lever for quick switching on and off, and the fork is lock-by-wire compatible. Officially, it is claimed that the fork axle of the new 32 is 40% more torsionally stiff than the previous version, while still keeping weight to a minimum.
As it stands, it's the lightest XC fork on the market right now at just 1,287 grams (1,326 grams for the competing RockShox SID SL Ultimate), and the 32SC series with Grip SL is priced between $969 and $1,049. In addition to the classic black-gold-orange livery, the new fork is also available in a gold livery, which can cost between $280 and $295 for users who just want to upgrade their existing 32 or 34 with the new SL damper.
