The police gave full play to the advantages of the combination of traditional investigation methods and modern science and technology, and carried out visits and investigations around the vicinity of the crime site and the waste recycling station, and the rear relied on the "smart investigation" and the online and offline joint operation center to provide technical support, and it only took more than 70 hours to successfully lock the suspect vehicle, and the back seat of the vehicle was equipped with tools and items such as inverted chains, chainsaws, bolt cutters, and electric drills, and the rear car cargo compartment was equipped with waste tires and quilts, which met the characteristics of stealing and selling the transformer after committing the crime. The police who handled the case squatted overnight and successfully arrested the criminal suspect Zhang on April 2, 2024, and confiscated the stolen goods.
"I carefully stepped on a little bit every time, forged different methods, and left nothing at the scene, how did you find me?" Until he was arrested, the suspect was still puzzled by his own cleverness.
After interrogation, the criminal suspect Zhang confessed to the crime of stealing transformers in the territory of Zhunger Banner, and confessed that he had also committed more than 50 crimes in Dongsheng District, Yijin Horo Banner, Dalat Banner, Kangbashi District, Wushen Banner and other places, stealing transformers, transformer copper cores and cables in remote locations such as agricultural irrigation, construction sites, and brick factories, with a value of nearly one million yuan.
At present, the criminal suspect Zhang has been taken criminal compulsory measures in accordance with the law on suspicion of theft, and the follow-up work of the case investigation is progressing in an orderly manner.
