In order to cope with the current severe drought situation and ensure the safety of drinking water for the villagers, the Yangwei Whistle villager group of Ziquan Community in Zhong'an Street recently carried out an emergency drought-fighting drinking water ditch project. With the strong support of the street water department, the project was carried out smoothly. The sub-district water department provided key equipment such as diversion pipes and pumps, while the sheep's tail sentry team actively raised funds, organized labor, and coordinated land to promote the drinking water project.

It is understood that the Yangwei Sentinel Group once faced the problem of water difficulties, the reservoir water was exhausted, and the safety of drinking water for the masses was seriously threatened. Faced with this predicament, Xun Shaoyao, the village party secretary of the Yangwei Whistle Group, acted quickly and actively took the lead in finding new water sources. After many surveys and comparisons, a new water source with excellent water quality was finally found near Xiaohaizi. In order to ensure that the water source can be used by the villagers, the villagers' group invested 4,600 yuan to purchase the water source through independent fund-raising, and also formulated a detailed water diversion plan to divert the water source to the vicinity of the water drop point of Yangwei Whistle to meet the drinking water needs of the villagers.

In order to raise funds for the drinking water project, the Yangwei Whistle Team of Ziquan Community mobilized the villagers to actively participate in self-raising funds through WeChat notifications and household visits. Originally, it was planned to contribute 100 yuan per household, but many villagers expressed their willingness to contribute more, as long as they could bring in the water. With the joint efforts of the villagers, the villager group has raised about 8,200 yuan in funds, and some villagers have contributed one after another, providing a solid financial foundation for the smooth progress of the drinking water project.

In the process of building drinking water ditches, Xun Shaoyao, the party secretary of Yangwei Whistle Village, led by example and participated in the excavation of drinking water ditches. On the one hand, he actively organized the villagers to participate in labor, and on the other hand, he actively connected with the higher departments, and won the water diversion pipes and pumps supported by the higher departments. His dedication and efforts have won the trust and respect of the villagers, and also provided a strong boost for the smooth progress of the drinking water project.

In the next step, the Yangwei Whistle Group of Ziquan Community will continue to promote the construction of the water pump house, and strive to let the villagers drink safe water as soon as possible. At the same time, the community will also cooperate with the villagers' group to strengthen the protection and management of water sources to ensure the sustainable use of water sources and jointly cope with the current drought situation.
