Tao Te Ching, Chapter 75 [Original]
The hunger of the people, as much as the food tax on it, is hunger.
The people are difficult to govern, and it is difficult to govern with what is done above.
The light death of the people, with the thickness of survival on it, is to die lightly.
The husband is the only one who has no way to live, and he is virtuous in his life.

8. Let the whole be good, let everyone be good, and you can follow the good.
The development of the matter to the point that "the light death of the people" is a thousand times worse than "the hunger of the people" and "the difficulty of the people to govern", and the weight of this sentence is the same as the opening sentence of the previous chapter: "The people are not afraid of death, but they are afraid of death".
Whether it is the common people or the princes and nobles, life and death are always the most serious issues.
Between the powerful and the people, the tangible status is the difference between cloud and mud, but invisibly it is the overall relationship of both prosperity and loss:
- If there is a famine among the people, the king's good days are coming to an end.
- If the people disobey the king, there is no hope for the king's stability.
- If the people are not afraid of death, the king's life will soon be lost.
Everyone wants to live well, but no one can make life stable by their own strength.
If you want to make life stable, you must connect yourself to the overall network of your family, country, and world, and you must connect yourself into the great net of heaven, earth and universe.
Therefore, those who are in high positions should pay more attention to their roots, and those who are rich and noble should pay more attention to their roots--who are the roots? Li Min is the roots, who is the roots, and the people are the roots. Only when the roots are firmly established can flowers and fruits flourish.
- For the state, the powerful control all the wealth in their own hands, and the people can't survive, so they have to rebel;
- For the enterprise, the boss takes all the profits alone, and the employees can't make money, so they can only leave;
- As far as the body is concerned, people indulge in enjoyment, greedy for food, greedy for play, greedy for sex, greedy for money, greedy for fame, no matter what they are greedy for, as long as they consume their essence and energy excessively, once the energy is beyond their means, life will fail......
Therefore, we must have a holistic thinking in everything we do: let the whole be good, let everyone be good, and only then can we follow suit.
The same is true for heaven and earth, human beings are only part of nature, not masters of nature – the environment is our home, and all things are our family.
"Protect the ecology, cherish resources, and revere all things" is not a slogan, but it really protects its own life.
Everyone wants to be safe, and safety requires a holistic approach to seeing the truth, and then connecting with the quality of awe.
Since ancient times, China's princes have called themselves "lonely and widowed", which is not to practice themselves, but to remind themselves: no matter how lofty the temple is, it will always be one with the people.
As a king, he must always take humility as the foundation and humility as the foundation, so that he will not cut off the Great Wall and destroy his foundation.
Just like the Great Dao, you can't see it, you can't hear it, you can't get it, you can't get it, it can be regarded as the lowest subtle thing, but the Tao is in charge of the life and death of all things.
If a person has talent and status, but can still turn himself into the earth and silently support more people, what he has built is the great magnetic field of heaven and earth as a whole - the magnetic field is a real energy, which will produce assimilation and attraction. The greater the magnetic field, the higher the probability that everything will come true.
Therefore, we must have a holistic thinking in everything we do, so that the whole is good, so that everyone is good, and only then can we follow the good, which is the real great wisdom.
