The tweeter of the 702 S3 Signature is still a hemispherical carbon membrane tweeter, with the midrange driver being a 6-inch "just listening" diaphragm midrange driver with a decoupling design, and the woofer being a 6-inch Aerofoil Profile woofer. I took all these baroque albums to the client's audio-visual room and auditioned them with works by Telemann, Vivalti and Bach. I think the 702 S3 Signature is playing these records very well, the sound is beautiful, because the 702 S3 Signature's mid-high notes are very clear, pure, detailed, transparent and gorgeous, and can express the grandeur and brilliance of Baroque music, listening to L'Oiseau-Lyre (the lyrebird, a brand of ancient music owned by DECCA) Vivaldi "Four Seasons". Although this is an album released in 1983. I have to say that through the 702 S3 Signature, I can realize that the ancient music of the Qinniao brand produced by DECCA in the early days is really serious and rigorous, not only the sound quality is outstanding, but the control of the timbre is also very good, the timbre of the strings is really gorgeous, and the sound can be described as meticulously crafted. Listening to the digital recording album of "Bach's First and Second Violin Concertos" released in 1982, you can hear that this album is a little warmer than "Four Seasons" in terms of timbre orientation, and the sound of the band playing is very comfortable and comfortable as soon as it starts. The violin is a violin made by the famous Austrian luthier Jacob Stainer in 1665, and is often used as an ancient music, and the sound is also beautiful and warm.
Trevor Pinnock's recording of Handel's "Royal Fireworks" at Archiv (DG's ancient music brand). The tweeter part is mainly modified with the new EVO SliverGold Oil capacitor from Mundorf, and the capacitor is made of CopperAngelique leads. In terms of exterior, the 700 S3 Signature is available in midnight metallic blue and sandalwood gloss finishes. The 702 S3 Signature I listened to was a sandalwood gloss finish version. And the 700 S3 Signature series has a gold element in the exterior design. The speakers are behind the tweeter grille, and the bezels of the midrange and bass drivers are gold-edged. Because of the gold element, the appearance is more luxurious and magnificent.

I'm still going to put the content on my audition of the 702 S3 Signature, and this time I will not only listen to baroque music, but also bring two records released by Hugo, namely "Mountain Boy" and Zhang Xingyue's "Dream Man". These two records have been sitting idle in the record cabinet for a long time, and they have always been misunderstood by me, because they always sounded mediocre before. However, another audiophile told me that as long as the equipment is good, you can experience a clear and distant sound.
The 702 S3 Signature gives me a good answer. The 702 S3 Signature's transparent, pure, and powerful mid-to-high performance made me realize that the record "Mountain Boy" pays great attention to the recording of spatial reverberation, and the sense of space is very good. I listened to the first stanza, "Singing and Smiling", and the whole song was accompanied by a vocal chorus and piano. When the sound of the piano is remembered, the sound image of the piano is really clear, and you can also feel that the piano is positioned further back than the speaker, thus creating a sense of distance. The voice of the vocal chorus is elegant, smart, and has a sense of scale, and the spatial reverberation effect is very rich, especially the sound of a few clapping voices when the choir sings, which is not only clear, but also has a very strong reverberation sound effect.
There is also Zhang Xingyue's "Dream Man", the selling point of this record is to use the tube microphone of the 50s of the last century to record, and also pay attention to the inclusion of spatial residual sound, I chose the third paragraph "Rose Three Wishes", 702 S3 Signature allows me to hear a deep sound field, the even harmonics of the tube make the vocal presentation appear very distinctive, the effect pursued is not high-definition, high-liveness vocals, but soft, mellow, warm, and broad and ethereal, and the sense of hearing is very beautiful. Therefore, the resolution is not good, and the sound is not transparent and pure, and the speaker will not be able to play such a timbre, and the sound will only be mixed together. On the contrary, the resolution is excellent, and the sound is transparent and pure, so that the beauty of this record can be appreciated.
