On April 7, Zeng Fantang, chief scientist and researcher of the South China Institute of Environmental Sciences of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, led a research team to Shiping County to carry out research on the governance and protection of the water ecological environment of Yilong Lake. Quan Yutao, deputy director of the Water Ecology and Environment Division of the Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, Wang Hu, director of the Provincial Bureau of Ecology and Environment, Zhang Pengcheng, secretary of the county party committee, Zhang Qiuhong, deputy secretary of the county party committee and county magistrate, and other provincial, state and county leaders accompanied the investigation.
Zeng Fantang and his entourage successively went to the Yilong Lake Protection and Governance Planning Exhibition Hall, Shiping Tofu Cultural Industry Park, Yilong Lake West Bank Wetland, Chenghe Estuary, Dashui River Estuary, Renshou Village, Yilong Lake Algae Water Separation Station, County Sewage Treatment Plant and other places to conduct on-the-spot research on the current water quality status of Yilong Lake, wetland construction, ecological restoration test project of shellfish grass fungus, operation of sewage treatment plants in the county and parks, village pollution interception and control, urban river treatment and water transfer.
At the symposium, Zhang Qiuhong gave a comprehensive report on the protection and governance of Yilong Lake, and the participating experts conducted a technical analysis on the problems of water quality deterioration in Yilong Lake, put forward countermeasures and suggestions, and the participating leaders exchanged speeches.
Zeng Fantang pointed out that in recent years, Shiping County has adhered to the protection and governance of Yilong Lake as the overall control, closely focused on "three treatments and one improvement", closely followed the "two reductions, two increases and one recovery", implemented precise policies, systematically promoted, targeted tackling, and went all out to further promote the protection and governance of Yilong Lake. Next, the South China Institute of Environmental Sciences of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment will give full play to its advantages, overcome difficulties, and work with Shiping County to promote the key technologies of Yilong Lake water ecological environment governance and protection to take root in Shiping, so that more scientific research achievements can blossom and bear fruit, and comprehensively improve the ability and level of Shiping's ecological environment governance.
Zhang Pengcheng pointed out that the South China Institute of Environmental Sciences of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has a comprehensive discipline layout and remarkable scientific and technological achievements, especially in the scientific research of forward-looking ecological and environmental issues, which has provided important scientific and technological support for the national ecological and environmental protection cause, and provided excellent technical services for the improvement of regional ecological environment quality and high-quality economic and social development.
