I often have thoughts that drive me to gaze at this place -- the city wall where the People's Liberation Army broke through the wall and ascended the city, and my father once pointed to this place and said: It is not easy! Seven days and seven nights of tough battles! From then on, I knew about the "Pipa Mountain."
On the day of the Qingming Festival, the traffic was extremely busy, and the buses to the martyrs' cemetery were full of children and parents. This martyr's memorial tower was built in 1951, three years after the liberation of Xiangyang, and is located on Yanghu Mountain, a celebrity of ancient Xiangyang. The bustling crowd in the cemetery square is almost all students and parents of different ages, as well as many young people. The mountain of the martyr's tower is full of people coming and going, and the steps are orderly filled with yellow and white chrysanthemums, and the bouquets use different sentences to deeply express the common nostalgia and admiration. I climbed countless steps and came to the foot of the 28-meter-high Martyrs' Tower, where I stopped to look up, pay silent tribute, and offer flowers. I see that today's martyrs' cemetery is no longer deserted.
In this solemn and solemn cemetery, in front of the wreath under the martyr's tower, a group of children, some saluted, some bowed, some made a gesture, and some adults led the children to kneel and kowtow, hoping to use all the etiquette to express their grief and reverence, which was touching.
Some scenes bring tears to your eyes. These lovely children, who have seen the life profile of the martyrs, are in their own small bags, you dig me, dig out, take out their own snacks, all kinds of small food placed in front of the martyrs' tombstones, this pious behavior makes me can't help but leave tears, learn the child to take out the milk in my bag and put it in front of the grave...... At this time, I was full of emotion, and the people around me must have the same feeling as me, and I was very relieved: children are the future and hope of the nation!
