On the afternoon of April 3, the Panyu District Federation of Trade Unions organized the town and street federation of trade unions and the heads of the enterprises that created the "Home of Workers" in the district this year to visit and hold a symposium at the "Home of Workers" of Seagull Housing Industry Co., Ltd. on Shatou Street.
In the visit and symposium, the chairman of the Seagull Labor Union Fang Weihua introduced the construction of the company's trade union workers' home, it is understood that the Seagull Housing is located in the staff dormitory area of the original staff recreation room, built for more than 10 years, the original room and recreational facilities are relatively old, part has been damaged, in order to provide a rich and colorful cultural life of workers, last year the Shatou Street Federation of Trade Unions and the Seagull Labor Union, the original room and facilities for a comprehensive upgrade, the project has invested a total of 150,000 yuan. Now there are new places for activities such as libraries and psychological counseling rooms to relieve the work pressure of employees, and the newly renovated staff home further provides a space for employees to relax and learn, and improves their happiness and sense of belonging.

Chen Zhiqi, full-time vice chairman of the Shatou Street Federation of Trade Unions, told reporters that 2023 is the "year of strengthening county-level trade unions" deployed by the whole president, and the "workers' home" of the trade union of Guangzhou Seagull Housing Industry Co., Ltd. was included in the "workers' home" construction project of the district's key construction last year. In the early stage, the Shatou Street Federation of Trade Unions, together with the Seagull Housing Labor Union, organized and carried out the preliminary design planning and later construction work of the Seagull Housing Labor Union Workers' Home for many times. Through the joint efforts of everyone, a 'new look' staff home was officially put into use at the beginning of this year, so that the employees of Seagull have a warm harbor. The completion of the construction project of the "Workers' Home" of the Seagull Housing Union has also provided valuable experience for the renovation and construction of the "Workers' Home" in other towns and streets.
In the next stage, Shatou Street and the Federation of Trade Unions will continue to care about the development of Seagull Housing and Industry Enterprises, support the enterprise trade unions to improve employee services, and continue to invest in optimizing and improving the service functions of workers' homes.
