May 1 this year is the 134th International Labor Day and the 74th Chinese Labor Day. In order to further strengthen labor education and promote the spirit of labor, schools in Xuhui guide students to learn the spirit of model workers and strive to be good teenagers in the new era through rich theme activities.
Xuhui Middle School held a flag-raising ceremony with the theme of "Salute to Laborers, Ordinary and Light", which made students think deeply about the meaning of labor and how to practice the spirit of labor with practical actions as young students in the new era. Campus security guards guard the safe gate, rain or shine, and insist every day only for the safety of teachers and students; campus cleaning hard work in exchange for campus cleanliness, cleanliness and beauty; cafeteria staff do not have brilliant experience, but make the table colorful. In order to pay tribute to the workers who guarded the growth of the students, the Young Pioneers carefully prepared handmade gifts for the workers to thank them for their hard work.
The No. 2 Junior High School of the city fully communicated with the Yongtai Neighborhood Committee of Tianping Street, combined the volunteer service of learning from Lei Feng with the activities of cleaning the home, and the Neighborhood Committee carefully designed public welfare labor positions according to the characteristics of junior high school students. The school used the large recess time to arrange for party members to lead 8 members of the "Learning from Lei Feng Team" to participate in activities such as blackboard newspapers, newspapers, beautiful corridor publicity, and community cleaning.
The Shanghai Information Management School invited model workers from the education system in Xuhui District to visit the campus and let the "spirit of model workers be passed on from generation to generation" through discussions. At the symposium, the model workers talked about the development of vocational education in Xuhui and offered suggestions for vocational education, and the stories and spirit of the model workers provided vivid cases for young teachers, which benefited everyone a lot.
As a continuation of the activities of model workers on campus, the fifth grade students of Huali Primary School came to the Shanghai Modern Food Vocational Skills Training Center before Labor Day to experience the novel feeling of being Western-style bakers. Focusing on the curriculum concept, Shaw Kindergarten took the "May Day" Labor Day as an opportunity to carry out experiential characteristic activities around the simultaneous development of five educations. With the encouragement and help of the teachers, the youngest dolls in the kindergarten also did what they could, sorting out toys and folding clothes, and gained a full sense of accomplishment in self-service; the children in the kindergarten turned into little reporters to visit the most beautiful workers in the kindergarten and listen to their "labor" stories.
Through photos and videos, the children of the Art Kindergarten learned about the hard work of workers such as policemen, doctors, hairdressers, and cooks. Under the guidance of the teacher, the children "looked for the hard-working people around them", "In addition to the teachers, what other workers are there in the kindergarten?" In the heated discussion, the children found out the security uncle, health teacher, cleaner aunt, repairman, etc. It is with these unknown workers that everyone can enjoy the happy life of the kindergarten happily and healthily.
