[German police, instead of BBA, use Toyota?]

In 2000, the German police purchased three special vehicles, designated SW 3. Originally owned by the Bundesbank, the three vehicles were later incorporated into the Emergency Special Forces, where they were mainly used for the transportation of valuables, property and personal protection, and support in major violent incidents.

As you can see from the pictures, the basis of this car is the Toyota Land Cruiser LC100, and the vehicle was modified by Achleitner and named Survivor. Armor and special equipment have been added, and it has become a vehicle that can defend against weapon attacks.

Before purchasing Toyota, the German bank used the Mercedes-Benz G-Class as a special vehicle around 1970 and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class around 1990, but after a number of attacks, it was replaced by the Toyota Land Cruiser, for reasons unknown.

In 2018, the three special vehicles were withdrawn from the German police headquarters, but were immediately sent to the Saarland police station for further use, where they are still active in escort missions today.
