On the morning of April 3, students from 10 countries including Zimbabwe, Gabon, Sri Lanka and Uzbekistan, under the leadership of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of Zhoukou Normal University and the teachers of the School of Liberal Arts, came to Dancheng Zhang Zhenfu Ceramic Clay Sculpture Art Museum to learn from Zhang Zhenfu to knead the provincial intangible cultural heritage Dancheng clay sculpture.
Teacher Zhang Zhenfu explained to them the origin of Chinese clay sculpture and the regional characteristics of Dancheng clay sculpture, the international students listened carefully to the explanation, felt the unique cultural charm of Dancheng clay sculpture, Zhang Zhenfu teacher first led everyone into the first exhibition hall - the original ecological clay sculpture exhibition hall, exhibiting 200 pieces of Zhang Zhenfu clay sculpture, the characteristics of clay sculpture: whether it is the elderly, middle-aged man or child, are smiling, happy, simple and touching, international students have picked up their mobile phones to take pictures of Zhang Zhenfu teacher's latest work "Celebrating More Than Years"; Then, Zhang Zhenfu led everyone into the second exhibition hall: Dan porcelain clay sculpture exhibition hall, Zhang Zhenfu created more than 300 pieces of Dan porcelain clay sculpture in the world, the clay figure wore gorgeous clothes, and the kiln naturally revealed the rich and heavy color, which made the international students admire. Next, at the invitation of the international students, Zhang Zhenfu made a portrait of a student from Zimbabwe, Zhang Zhenfu rolled up his sleeves and spent 20 minutes with 6 kilograms of Yellow River mud to magically shape the portrait of Gao Shuai, and the international students gave a thumbs up and praised: "Teacher Zhang is amazing, the sculpture is so realistic!"
This visit, study and practice activity not only allowed the international students to better understand the cultural characteristics of clay sculptures in eastern Henan, but also promoted the cultural integration between different countries. It provides more opportunities for international students to experience traditional Chinese culture, and promotes mutual learning and tolerance between different cultures.
Through this activity, the international students not only experienced the regional culture of Zhoukou in eastern Henan, but also saw the prosperity of rural revitalization in China's townships today.
