At the scene of the event, foreign students saw excellent works in the exhibition hall of Dancheng County Painting and Calligraphy Institute, and sighed that the Chinese culture is broad and profound.
The event aims to strengthen cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries through the link of traditional Chinese calligraphy and painting. The art of calligraphy and painting is the cultural source of the survival and development of the Chinese nation, and it is also the cultural symbol with the most Chinese spiritual characteristics, with a wide range of affinity and special charisma, and is regarded as one of the important carriers that help establish people-to-people friendship and promote cultural exchanges.
Dean Zhang Yunxing said that Dancheng is the "hometown of Chinese calligraphy", with a strong artistic heritage of calligraphy and painting, and the calligraphy and painting market is also extremely active. At present, the county has 26 members of the National Calligraphy Association, 9 members of the Art Association, 80 members of the Provincial Calligraphy Association, 26 members of the Art Association, more than 30,000 people who study calligraphy and painting, and 200,000 calligraphy and painting enthusiasts. Inherit traditional Chinese culture and make more contributions.
Professor Zhou Shi Wan Zhongya said that the art of Chinese calligraphy and painting is broad and profound, with a long history, and is a typical representative and essence of Chinese culture. It is hoped that this event will allow more foreign students, especially the younger generation, to appreciate the charm of traditional Chinese culture.
Western painting focuses on 'representation', and artists need to carefully observe the world and depict it realistically. Chinese calligraphy and painting, on the other hand, pay attention to vividness, vitality, and convey a sense of nature and relaxation. During the exchange, we found that although foreign calligraphy lovers are not necessarily proficient in Chinese, the charm of Chinese characters attracts them to further explore Chinese culture, thus promoting cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
