The reporter learned from the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City that the "TEDA Huatang 2024 China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Half Marathon" will start on April 21 with the theme of "Smart Life, Happiness Leading". The competition is hosted by the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Management Committee and supported by Tianjin Taifeng Industrial Park Investment (Group) Co., Ltd.
The competition includes a half marathon (21.0975 km), a health run (10 km) and a parent-child run (3 km), with a scale of 5,000 people. Since the registration on March 30, runners from all over the country have actively participated and received enthusiastic responses. On 2 April, the Eco-City Half Marathon held a sponsor signing ceremony to officially announce the title sponsorship of the race.
Judging from the announced route, nearly one-third of the race track is the coastline, and the track connects the National Maritime Museum, Dongdi Park, Mazu Cultural Park, Beidi Trail Park, China-Singapore Friendship Library, China-Singapore Friendship Garden and other landmark attractions of the Eco-City. The National Maritime Museum, the starting point of the competition, is the only national comprehensive maritime museum in mainland China. At the end of the race, the China-Singapore Friendship Garden is the largest urban park in the region, which was jointly planned and built by teams from China and Singapore, fully integrating Chinese and Singapore cultures and representing the deep friendship between China and Singapore. The race route will showcase the Eco-City's unique modern urban charm, allowing participants to enjoy the Eco-City's natural beauty and new urban appearance during the run.
In order to vigorously promote the integrated development of "sports + consumption", the organizing committee invited nearly 20 sports-related industry operators to hold "sports + consumption" exhibition and promotion activities during the competition. In addition, for the first time, the event will introduce state-of-the-art timing systems and health monitoring equipment, as well as enhanced safety and security in terms of medical and post-race services, to ensure the efficient organization of the competition and the safety and health of athletes.
