On April 2, 2024, all station-level units under the National Immigration Administration held a unified ceremony for awarding the 2024 Frontier Medals, and a total of 1,422 border police officers across the country were awarded the gold, silver and bronze medals of the National Immigration Administration Agency.
In recent years, the vast number of border police officers of the national immigration management agency have thoroughly studied and implemented Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, faithfully fulfilled the duties and missions entrusted by the Party and the people in the new era, rooted in the frontier, contributed to the frontier, and made important contributions to maintaining national political security and border stability. In accordance with the Administrative Measures for the Issuance of Commemorative Medals for Guarding Frontiers by National Immigration Management Agencies, the National Immigration Administration awards gold, silver and bronze medals to in-service immigration management police officers who have worked in the entire Tibet Autonomous Region and other border provinces and autonomous regions in three or more categories of hardship and remote areas (including those who have worked in three or more types of hardship and remote areas) for a total of 30, 20 and 10 years. The medal is awarded once a year, and in 2024 it is the second time, and so far a total of 9,909 border police officers have been awarded the medal for guarding the frontier.
On April 2, the Xinjiang Frontier Inspection Station held a ceremony to award the commemorative medal for guarding the frontier, and the gold medal for guarding the frontier shone brightly under the sunlight.
On 2 April, the Tibet Frontier Inspection Station held a ceremony to present the commemorative medals for guarding the frontiers, and awarded medals to the representatives of the immigration management police who received the commemorative medals.
On April 2, the Tengchong Border Inspection Station of Yunnan Frontier Inspection Station held a ceremony to award the commemorative medal for guarding the frontier.
The approval of the Party Central Committee and the State Council to set up a commemorative medal for guarding the frontier by the national immigration management agency fully reflects the great importance that the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core attaches to the immigration management work and the cordial care for the immigration management team, especially the border police.
