According to reports, in the early morning of March 5, the police of the Longling Border Management Brigade noticed a suspicious pickup truck during a routine mobile search on the border road. The driver claimed to be on his way to Baoshan to deliver fruit, but appeared unusually nervous when questioned. This unusual behavior aroused a high level of vigilance among the police, who immediately conducted a thorough inspection of the truck.

During the inspection, the police found that under the fruit basket loaded in the truck, there were six gas canisters wrapped in black plastic bags. These gas canisters are not only unusually heavy, but also different in appearance from common liquefied gas canisters, with rough welds and red lettering on the outer wall that appear to have been repainted.

In order to further confirm, the police X-rayed the gas canisters using cargo detectors. The scans revealed the presence of a rectangular image of uniform density at the bottom of the gas canister, which further deepened the police's suspicions. Subsequently, the police cut open the gas canister and found 144 pieces of suspected drugs wrapped in yellow tape. After professional identification, it was confirmed that the items were methamphetamine with a total weight of 50.23 kilograms.

At present, the case is under further investigation and processing. (CCTV News)
