5G-A is coming, do you want to change your phone?

author:ICT Interpreters Explained

For the evolution of 5G, operators such as China Mobile follow the definition of 3G PP and call it 5G-A. Huawei previously coined the term 5.5G, which has been unified into 5G-A on most occasions after being criticized by the industry.

5G-A is coming, do you want to change your phone?

I didn't expect @OPPO to pick up @huawei mobile phone and openly advertise 5.5G mobile phones...... It's too faceless, isn't it?

5G-A is coming, do you want to change your phone?

So, 5G-A is coming, should you change your phone?

Because the main applications of 5G-A are for the To B market, including Red Cap, passive Internet of Things, synaesthesia, etc., which has nothing to do with the To C mobile phone market.

However, in order to make some marketing gimmicks for 5G-A, operators have also put three-carrier aggregation technology (3CC) into the 5G-A marketing package, such as China Mobile uses 700MHz, 2.6GHz and 4.9GHz three 5G frequency bands to engage in 3CC, claiming to be able to greatly improve the uplink and downlink speed and achieve "10 Gigabit network speed"......

However, the 4.9GHz frequency band was originally mainly used for To B industry private networks, and China Mobile only requires 4000 yuan and above products to be supported, so low-end 5G mobile phones below 4000 yuan do not support this frequency band in order to save costs. Therefore, ordinary mobile phone users want to try the so-called "10 Gigabit network speed", so they must replace the mobile phone that does not support the 4.9G Hz frequency band with a mobile phone that can support 3CC.

5G-A is coming, do you want to change your phone?

However, the 3CC technology of "intelligent scheduling and allocation of bandwidth resources according to the service level and service quality requirements" is similar to merging three lanes into one ultra-wide lane for VVVIP customers, and the speed and experience are really superb, but the question is that as an ordinary mobile phone user, what business do you need to run this ultra-wide lane? How much money are you willing to pay for the special service of this ultra-wide lane?

Therefore, the most important thing that is willing to pay for the 3CC technology experience is the industry users, such as the TV station that conducts live broadcast in the stadium with dense crowds, etc., to ensure the high speed of live signal transmission, find the operator to buy a 3CC ultra-wide lane, and drive those ordinary users to the narrower lane.

Of course, the live broadcast of these TV stations is definitely not an ordinary mobile phone, but a module and industry terminal that support 3CC.

So who can Oppo's high-profile 5.5G mobile phone that achieves "10 Gigabit network speed" through 3CC technology be sold to? Especially in addition to the high price of mobile phones, I don't know how much the operator will charge for this ultra-wide three-lane VVVIP service......

It is estimated that they are those live broadcast anchors who have more money and don't worry about selling hundreds of millions of dollars a night......
