On March 27, 2024, the large-scale original song and dance drama "The Story of Yangling Village", a 2023 funded project of the National Arts Fund, was grandly staged at the Puxian Grand Theater.
The song and dance drama "The Story of Yangling Village" was created and produced by Ningxia Ninghong Performing Arts Group, with national first-class playwright Ding Yue as the screenwriter, Wu Qingdong, a famous dance drama director and chief director of the creation room of the China Opera and Dance Theater, as the director, Jin Zongwei, the former director of the Ningxia Cultural Center, as the artistic director, Chen Daming, a professor of the Xi'an Conservatory of Music, as the composer, and a team composed of nearly 100 professional performers.
The play tells the story of poverty alleviation and prosperity and the active implementation of rural revitalization under the strong leadership and cordial care of the party and the government, reflecting the leading role of grassroots party organizations and leaders in getting rich, and finally realizing rural revitalization and common prosperity through a series of poverty alleviation measures such as policy guarantees, Fujian-Ningbo cooperation, industrial development, and ecological construction.
The play is based on Yangling Village, Xiaxia, Liupan Mountain, Ningxia as the prototype of script creation, and the play took more than a year to complete from research and visit to script writing, music creation, rehearsal, and performance.
The play consists of "Green Dream", "Yang Ling Love", "Rich Dream", "Love the People", "Happy Road", "Greenhouse Love", "Landscape Love", "Yang Linghong" eight performances, the performance time is about 90 minutes, the plot story is complete, the theme is clear, the idea is lofty, the scene is spectacular, the structure is compact, the plot conflict is reasonable, the artistic technique is novel, it has a distinct ideology and artistry, and it is an artistic masterpiece that reflects the theme of reality.
