In the ancient city of Yizhou, Hedong District, Linyi City, there is such a craftsman, with a passion, who has devoted himself to the study of gourd painting technology for many years, and he is Yao Haichao, the inheritor of Yao's gourd painting. 37-year-old Yao Haichao was born in Yaoma Village, Honghua Town, Tancheng County, Linyi City, he liked painting and handicrafts since he was a child. Yao Haichao studied mechanical engineering in college, and after graduating from Sinotruk, he worked in Sinotruk, out of interest and love, he worked while studying branding and handicraft, and constantly improved his skills through hard self-study.

Yao Haichao became more and more obsessed with branding, and when his work and interests conflicted, he finally quit his job as an "iron rice bowl" at Sinotruk and returned to Linyi to concentrate on the study of branding. Yao Haichao has systematically studied gouache, drawing, Chinese painting, printmaking and other painting categories, which can be said to be a thorough understanding and learning from others. His branding paintings include the subtle and delicate brushwork of Chinese painting, the chiaroscuro and the changes of light and shadow in Western sketches, the refined lines and unevenness of printmaking, and the soft coloring and elegant and indifferent style of gouache painting. He mainly focuses on flowers and birds in the selection of brand paintings, birds and birds are smart, the feathers are delicate, and he has superb skills and unique artistic style.
