Once again, warn the Philippines: The only way to make trouble is to raise the white flag!

author:Beijing News Network

On March 23, the Philippines attempted to deliver construction supplies to an illegal "beached" warship at Ren'ai Jiao, but the Philippine supply ship forcibly broke through and invaded despite China's repeated dissuasion warnings and route control.

The video at the scene shows that in the face of our coast guard's water cannon spraying, the crew of the Philippine supply ship waved a white flag.

On the one hand, despite China's repeated dissuasion warnings and route control, we still forcibly rushed into the invasion, and on the other hand, we immediately waved the white flag in the face of water cannons, and in the face of the rogue practice of the Philippines that "loves to eat and play", what should we do?

Tan Zhu learned that the Chinese Coast Guard completely blocked the abnormal transportation and replenishment carried out by the Philippine side, what is the meaning behind the word "thorough"?

The word "broken promise" appears frequently in the press releases issued by the China Coast Guard in the last five months.

On October 22 last year, in response to the Philippines' illegal intrusion into the waters adjacent to Second Thomas Shoal, China's statement was as follows:

“...... The Philippine side violated China's territorial sovereignty, violated the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea, and violated its commitments......"

On December 10 last year, in the face of another invasion by the Philippine side, the Chinese side stated that:

“...... The Philippine side's actions violate the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea and its commitments, and seriously infringe on China's territorial sovereignty......"

By March 5 this year, the content of the Chinese press release was much clearer:

“...... The Philippines violated its commitments and deliberately dispatched two coast guard vessels and two supply vessels to the waters adjacent to Ren'ai Jiao in China's Nansha Islands to deliver supplies to its illegal 'beached' warship......"

In this press release, the China Coast Guard directly pointed out:

“...... Only 18 days after the last round of replenishment, the Philippines reneged on its promise and once again dispatched two coast guard vessels and one replenishment vessel to the waters adjacent to China's Ren'ai Jiao in an attempt to carry out irregular transportation and replenishment to its illegal 'beached' warship and transport construction materials......"

Chen Xiangmiao, director of the World Naval Research Center of the China Academy of South China Sea, told Tan that on the issue of transporting supplies to the illegal "beached" warship at Ren'ai Jiao, the Chinese side has always allowed the Philippines to transport some daily necessities to the crew of the "Sierra Madre" stationed on the "Sierra Madre" out of humanitarian considerations, but only if the Philippine side abides by its commitments, the Chinese side will allow such supply transportation.

Chen Xiangmiao also mentioned that from these press releases, it can be seen that the Philippine side's commitment to China includes at least three parts.

First, the Philippine side must control the scale of the replenishment vessels.

Sending a small convoy of two coast guard vessels and two replenishment vessels, such as the one on March 5, is an act of transgression.

Correspondingly, on February 2 this year, the Philippines dispatched a small civilian boat to deliver daily necessities to its illegally "beached" warship.

Second, the Philippine side must report to the Chinese side before the replenishment, and the time interval between the two replenishments should not be too short.

Tan Zhu noticed that the previous Philippine side's transportation and replenishment were generally at the beginning of the month. Therefore, this time, the Chinese side also directly pointed out that the Philippines has violated the relevant commitments on the transportation and replenishment time.

Third, the Philippine side can only transport daily necessities such as food and clothing, and any move to transport construction materials and try to strengthen the "Sierra Madre" is not allowed by the Chinese side.

It is not difficult to see that the Philippine side's act of transporting subsidies violates three commitments at the same time, and is of a very bad nature.

The China Coast Guard implements regulation, obstruction, and expulsion in accordance with laws and regulations, and handles it in a reasonable, lawful, and professional manner.

A noteworthy detail is that it was the Philippine yacht Yunaza May No. 4 that tried to transport construction materials this time, and it was the same one who tried to trespass last time.

Last time, the water cannon broke through its porthole, and the broken glass scratched the Philippine military officers hiding on the boat, and the Philippine side once sold the incident miserably. And this time, the people on the boat directly waved the white flag.

Once again, warn the Philippines: The only way to make trouble is to raise the white flag!

According to information from the Philippine side, due to the serious damage to the hull of the "Yunaza May" 4 yacht, the Philippine side had no choice but to lower an inflatable dinghy from the "Sierra Madre," which was illegally "beached," load it with six Philippine Navy soldiers and a small amount of food on the "Yunaza May" 4 yacht, and complete the supply under the supervision of the Chinese side.

This is enough to show that China's humanitarian considerations are not a reason for the Philippines to take advantage of it, and the China Coast Guard will resolutely block and intercept any illegal transportation and replenishment acts.

has just been shattered glass, and has come to stir up trouble again, why does the Philippines forget the pain when the scar is not good?

One perspective is that in recent times, the United States and the Philippines have become more and more colluded in the South China Sea.

On March 19, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken specifically reaffirmed his defense commitment to the Philippines during his visit to the Philippines. At the same time, the Philippine side also announced that it will conduct joint military exercises with the United States in April.

Not only that, but the United States is also showing its "importance" to the Philippines in all aspects.

Blinken's trip is the second visit to the Philippines by a U.S. Cabinet official this month, the last being U.S. Commerce Secretary Raimondo. During her visit to the Philippines, Raimondo announced an investment of up to $1 billion in the Philippines, saying she would help the Philippines double its semiconductor factories.

In April this year, the United States, Japan and the Philippines will hold the so-called first trilateral summit of the United States, Japan and the Philippines to discuss the so-called "Indo-Pacific security" issue.

From military to economic, the Philippines has become the hottest "pawn" of the United States against China, cheering for the so-called "Indo-Pacific strategy".

It is precisely under the influence of such a psychology of having a "backer" behind him that the Philippines continues to find ways to provoke incidents.

Not long ago, Indonesian President Joko Widodo made a special trip to the Philippines, Vietnam and Brunei, and at the same time, Indonesia also said that it would accelerate the negotiation process of the "Code of Conduct in the South China Sea".

Promoting consultations on the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea is the right way to maintain stability in the South China Sea, and the Philippines' attempt to co-opt foreign countries to intervene in the South China Sea issue will only undermine peace and stability in the South China Sea.

The incident on March 23 is enough to give the Philippines a wake-up call - the flag will be waved to the end, and it will be the white flag that will be waved.

In fact, in addition to vainly attempting to illegally transport supplies, the Philippines' methods of stirring up trouble in the South China Sea are also undergoing new changes.

According to a press release issued by the China Coast Guard, in the past year, the Philippines has mainly carried out "small actions" around Scarborough Shoal and Ren'ai Jiao. Tan Zhu learned that last year, the Philippines tried 12 times to carry out abnormal transportation and replenishment of its illegal "beached" warships, but the Chinese side completely blocked them.

Recently, a new place name has appeared in the news - Wire Reef.

On March 21, 34 Philippine personnel ignored China's warnings and dissuasion and illegally landed on the Wire Reef.

Located in the northern part of China's Nansha Islands and Reefs, Wire Reef is a general term for three coral reefs trending northeast-southwest. Despite its small size, its geographical location is very sensitive – about 2.5 nautical miles east of the Wire Reef is Thitu Island in China's Spratly Islands, which has been illegally occupied by the Philippines.

In 1971, the Philippines illegally occupied Thitu Island, and since then, the Philippines has been building various infrastructure facilities on the island, including wharves and airports, in an attempt to occupy Thitu Island by creating established facts.

With regard to Scarborough Shoal and Ren'ai Jiao, the Philippine side originally wanted to adopt such an approach, but such delusions were completely shattered by the Chinese side.

And this time, the Philippines covets the Wire Reef and calls it "scientific investigation" - seeing that the hard one is not good, the Philippines also wants to try the soft one.

When the tide rises, most of the reef is flooded, and it is only at low tide that it is possible to land on the reef.

After calculating the time, taking advantage of the convenience of Thitu Island's proximity to the Wire Reef, the Philippine side tried in vain to do something about the Wire Reef.

But the Philippine conspiracy did not succeed - the Chinese side reacted quickly.

Although the Wire Reef is only about 2.5 nautical miles away from Thitu Island, which is forcibly occupied by the Philippines, there is also Subi Reef in the vicinity, which is our base, which also provides us with great convenience in predicting and quickly dealing with the illegal actions of the Philippine side.

According to Philippine sources, on March 21, in the face of Philippine fishery administration vessels conducting illegal "marine resources surveys" in the waters near Thitu Island, we dispatched more than 10 coast guard and fishing boats to intercept them in accordance with the law, and a helicopter flew over the nearby waters to cooperate with the actions of the coast guard department.

In the face of the Philippine side's illegal landing on the Wire Reef, Chinese coast guard law enforcement officers landed on the reef in accordance with the law and investigated and dealt with it.

Tan noticed that a blogger who has been following the situation in the South China Sea for a long time captured a detail:

Chinese law enforcement officers not only carried out routine claims of sovereignty such as circumambulating the reef, but also scanned and probed the land on the reef with metal detectors, ensuring that the Philippines could not leave anything on the reef that could prove its "sovereignty".

Lin Kaicheng, deputy director of the South China Sea Public Opinion Laboratory of Jinan University, introduced to Tan Zhu that the Philippines' careful thinking about the iron line reef is different from Ren'ai Jiao and Scarborough Shoal.

For Ren'ai Jiao and Scarborough Shoal, the Philippines mainly harassed and hyped up to attract international attention, while the Wire Reef is very close to Thitu Island, and such a distance has given the Philippines a lot of opportunities to sail to the island to "exploit loopholes".

In the coming period, the Philippines will definitely try to illegally occupy China's Nansha islands and reefs in the name of "scientific investigation" or "exploration", and China will take actions to completely dispel such thoughts.

Whether it is Ren'ai Jiao or Scarborough Shoal, the China Coast Guard will be on standby at all times to resolutely safeguard China's territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.

And those who play with fire will bring shame on themselves.
