"Kung Fu Panda 4" movie review: I can't say it's particularly bad, but I really don't recommend it

This is a freshly baked film review, and I just finished reading it.
The total duration of "Kung Fu Panda 4" is very short, almost one and a half hours.
Overall evaluation, can't say particularly bad, but really boring, not recommended.
Ye Qiuchen's article is still the same old rule, and the advantages and disadvantages are discussed.
The following contains spoilers, so please be cautious.
1. About the pros
Let's talk about the pros first.
For works with the labels of Universal Pictures and DreamWorks, the animation quality itself is really not to be picked, the experience points are there, and the effect is not 9 or 7 points.
The plot is very suitable for parents to take their children to watch, a standard family-friendly film, the atmosphere is lively enough, the story is simple and easy to understand, and the relationship between the characters is pure and uncomplicated.
Children watch cartoons with a very different focus than adults, they seem to care more about the picture, almost no thought about extending the plot, and are very fond of the characters' exaggerated actions and settings, and can tell who wins and loses.
Basically every movie has children to watch, adults need to get used to the extra background sound next to it, and the audience who particularly minds can wait until there are resources.
I saw that some people on the Internet went to see the actors who dubbed in Chinese (Huang Bo, Jiang Xin, Yang Mi), given that I chose the English pronunciation version, so I don't know what the situation of the Chinese version is, so I will not evaluate this aspect.
The images of the small animals are very cute, and the children in them are indeed super cute, except of course those dungeon bear children are furious.

Various characters in the movie have chicken soup speeches, which is not uncommon in the "Kung Fu Panda" series, and everyone should get used to it.
Although it is a relatively superficial understanding in the movie, if you can take it out separately and think about it carefully, there are still a lot of deep feelings.
The whole story revolves around the core theme of "finding yourself", and Po successfully realizes that only by "defeating yourself" can you "surpass yourself" in the end.
Master asked Po to find a successor for Shenlong Daxia, and also held an apprenticeship conference, but this panda was more obsessed with the feeling of being a celebrity, so he was reluctant to give up.
Po was in a rather impetuous and confused state of mind at the time, and there were many ideas fighting in his head, and he kept swaying from side to side and couldn't make up his mind.
In the film, it is through the villain Phantom Demon that later helps Po achieve the above evolution and awakening process.
A brief introduction to this villain.
The main body is a lizard.,Nicknamed the Queen of Transformation.,The profession is an illusionist.,You can change into any form you want.,But you don't have the ability to change things in your body.。
In order to make herself invincible in the world and fulfill her dream of dominating the world, the Phantom Demon Queen wants to steal the Tianhui magic battle in Bao's hand to open the spirit world, and use the Dafa of absorbing power to use the martial arts of all the former villains for her.
So the Phantom Demon Queen sent her own cronies and subordinates, the fox Xiaozhen, to let her get close to Po and gain trust, and finally succeeded in inviting all the former villains back and having a big reunion.
When Po fought with the villains of the past for many rounds, the Phantom Demon Queen became Po's own appearance (the lizard version of the panda, it is recommended not to look at it with dense phobia).
This setting of "beating yourself" is to let Po "defeat yourself" and then "surpass yourself" in the process of "finding yourself".
After defeating the Phantom Demon, Po became the "Po", and Po also achieved his second growth.
The concept of "oneself" is concretized.
At the same time, in the process, Po discovered Xiao Zhen's sincerity, so he decided to train her to become the next generation of the Dragon Hero.
Since the lizard's body shape is very similar to a snake, when absorbing the martial arts of the former villains, it can also extend a layer of understanding that "greed is not enough for snakes to swallow elephants".
The above is the only place in the movie that can be analyzed in depth.
In addition, there are some lines that can be regarded as a bit realistic when taken out separately.
For example, Master Raccoon said that the way to protect peace is not only to solve it by force.
For example, Po said that sometimes the most amazing delicacy often comes from the most unexpected ingredients.
For example, the fox said that "giving is to get", alluding to the entanglement between giving and taking.
There's also some thinking about small places versus big cities, but not much.
Like Po thinks he is a celebrity in the Valley of Peace, but why did he go to a big city and no one knows?
Whether it's Dragon Hero or Kung Fu Panda, no one here has ever heard of these well-known names.
Running on the bustling streets, looking at the busy crowd, Po said, "The pace of big cities is really fast."
The matter of "change" also runs through the experience of the positive and negative characters.
Because the Phantom Demon Queen knows how illusions can transform, she says that "the only constant is change".
Po said that it was only superficial, and the inner change was more important.
I also talked about a similar chicken soup before, probably saying that change is not necessarily a bad thing, because if it is always the same, then everything will become dull.
The darker poisonous chicken soup is the three rules of the street output by the Phantom Demon Queen and Xiao Zhen.
First, don't trust anyone.
Second, sacrifice is inevitable.
Third, no one cares what you think.
The Phantom Demon also has a sentence "If you want to achieve your goal, you must make full use of all the chess pieces".
但整部电影里给人印象最深刻的，还是这句“inner peace，dinner please”。
The best in the whole film.
2. About the shortcomings
Frankly speaking, Ye Qiuchen hasn't watched a 3D movie with glasses in his eyes for a long time.
However, I feel that "Kung Fu Panda 4" really only looks at 2D, and the 3D option is purely for the purpose of increasing the ticket price.
The five heroes of the world made a cameo appearance (because there are other tasks in the body), so the whole style is very similar to the biography, and the new character fox Xiaozhen introduced is likely to appear in the follow-up "Kung Fu Panda 5" (if any), after all, it is the next generation of Po's successor.
Probably has no feelings for the IP itself, and I really think that the series is also the end of the film, and the whole film is really too familiar with the formula, very patterned and assembly line plot.
Whatever you want, give it completely straightforwardly.
The classic three-stage arrangement, the first 30 minutes of foreshadowing, the middle 30 minutes of preparation, and the last 30 minutes of brewing battle.
I belong to the people who have a relatively low laughing point, but I haven't laughed the whole time (I don't even feel the part where Po is blocked and sneezes and puts P), I just feel that the rhythm is chaotic.
A very dense action scene and a catch-up scene are inserted between various key nodes, and the clues to the next stop are obtained at a fixed point to get through the dungeon and continue to travel, which is obviously suspected of making up the time.
The motivations of the characters can't be thought through, otherwise the logic won't work at all.
At that time, the villain summoned all kinds of villain leaders to surrender to him, and then asked them to make offerings of gold and silver treasures, and these small soldiers could only go to loot the people's fat and ointment to attract the attention of the righteous side.
But she never saw her use the money from beginning to end.
What is the purpose of the offering?
At present, there is no need to spend money on her dream, just grab it wherever she wants.
Anyway, it is to conquer the world with force value, as long as the world is invincible, everywhere is invincible.
The two fathers, Father Goose and Father Panda, have gone through many difficulties and dangers, just so that Po can give him a shot of heart booster after being briefly betrayed by Xiaozhen's friendship, and in addition to that, they have gone through Bao's dungeon route again, which has no effect on the main plot at all.
The love of parents and their sons will be far-reaching, and they do not see it at all.
If that lizard was more despicable and open-minded, wouldn't it become a burden to take these two fathers hostage to blackmail Bao.
The fox Xiaozhen used to beg for a living in the dungeon, lonely and hungry, and was later adopted by a lizard. After discovering his conscience, he wants to unite the people of the dungeon to attack the lizard's territory.
That heart-wrenching speech was really unconvincing.
When it comes to a group of evildoers, how important it is to do good deeds and accumulate virtues, they all believe it.
It feels like it's more practical to think that everyone doesn't want to be bullied by lizards anymore and continue to be forced to hand over money, right?
Forget it, the movie itself said it, just like the moon, just to set off the atmosphere of the big scene.
After absorbing all the kung fu, the lizard is full of tricks, and as a result, it basically relies on raw pounces when fighting, and the protagonist's aura is too bright.
In order to increase Xiao Zhen's role, he also gave her an additional operation to rub experience points, and gave the lizard a blow to the head.
In the end, after Po returned all the power in the lizard's body to the former villains, he also released all of them......
Sure enough, through the influence of the divine power, this group of former villains actually went back by themselves and didn't do anything again, Dalong was really not used to becoming so kind, and he actually walked into the door by the neck of the lizard, and played a small assistant.
They were all once extremely vicious, aren't they afraid that they will unite to besiege them?
How do you believe that they can turn back?
The reason is that this group of villains is all convinced (I really have goosebumps when I bow collectively), mainly because the movie time is up, so they naturally don't fight.
Hey, there are a lot of slots, I've tried my best to say it, but I still can't finish it.
When I watched "Kung Fu Panda 4", I also thought of some other works.
Po said that he had a prophetic dream, and he instantly linked "Dune 2".
The rabbit with throwing knives around him is very similar to the little mouse in "Food Story".
The villain becomes a collective monster, just like in the Digimon finale.
Xiao Zhen's image and experience are a bit like the fox in "Zootopia", and some lines and actions are even more godlike.
The overall viewing experience is the same as "Crazy Element City", and the animation is good with many elements, but the content is empty and the plot is lackluster.
I feel like it's a bit of a waste of time to write so many words for this movie, and I'm quite bored.
Fortunately, I chose the original 3D when watching the movie, so I should practice English listening.
Fans of the IP "Kung Fu Panda" can take a look, and if you take school-age children to watch the movie, you can also watch it, and others don't recommend it at all.
