In the Spring Festival of the Year of the Dragon, from the first day of the Lunar New Year to the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, the dragon and lion dance activities of "Longteng Shengshi Central Axis Nafu" in Dongcheng District were successively unveiled at the four central axes of Yongdingmen Square, Bell and Drum Tower Cultural Square, Longfu Temple Square and Qianmen Street, attracting more than 20,000 citizens and tourists to watch on site.
In the Bell and Drum Tower, Yongding Gate, and Qianmen, there are dragon and lion dances every day from the first day to the fifth day of the Lunar New Year. In front of Yongdingmen Square, the southern end of the central axis, the golden dragon leaps and the lion dances, the gongs and drums are noisy to welcome the New Year, the lion and the dragon sometimes gallop, sometimes shuttle, mighty and funny, vivid and lively. On the square, New Year check-in devices such as "Year of the Dragon" and "Ruilong Chengxiang" attract tourists to take photos and check in, and more than 10 children from Yongtieyuan Community, Yongwai Street, send blessings for everyone to celebrate the Year of the Dragon.
As soon as the noisy and lively gongs and drums sounded, the dexterous dragons and lions swam on Qianmen Street, and tourists stopped to watch. The time-honored brand and the new national tide have made Qianmen Street a good place to shop, eat, and shop in one of the diversified consumption scenes such as Chinese tide, fireworks, and cultural flavors.
The Bell and Drum Tower is the northern end of the central axis, and it is also an important point for condensing China's strong time culture. In recent years, checking in the Bell and Drum Tower has become the choice of more and more tourists, and watching the dragon and lion dance in front of the Bell and Drum Tower building with rich historical and cultural connotations is very interesting.
In the Longfu Temple Cultural and Leisure Street, there are dragon and lion dances for three consecutive days from the third to the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, and the traditional lion dance performances shuttle through the block, so that the traditional folk customs are rejuvenated, and there is also the "Longfu Temple Joy Dragon Dragon New Year Market", which exhibits and sells New Year's good food, good things and traditional time-honored products, which not only has the nostalgia and memory of "old Beijing", but also brings a new experience of New Year leisure to the general public.
