Recently, the Xicheng Youth League District Committee and the Chunshu Street Youth League Working Committee invited international students from colleges and universities and local teenagers to visit Xicheng and Chunshu together, experience Chunshu culture and feel the charm of Chunshu.
The event invited 15 international students from the University of International Business and Economics who love Chinese culture to join hands with 15 teenagers from No. 43 Middle School in Chunshu Street, Xicheng District, to start a cross-cultural exchange journey. 30 teenagers from different countries opened the door to friendship with the phrase "Hello, nice to meet you".
In the theme sharing session, international students from the University of International Business and Economics introduced their hometowns in Chinese around "Follow Me to See the World", and the wider world unfolded in front of the eyes of the young people in Xicheng. Two Xicheng teenagers introduced Xicheng and Chunshu culture in English around "Follow me to see Xicheng" and "I will help you understand Chunshu", which left a deep impression on international students.
Dai Yuexuan, a time-honored Chinese brand located in Chunshu, is famous in Beijing for its lake pen making skills. Here, the teacher of the inheritance of the lake pen skills introduced the pen of Dai Yuexuan in different periods and different materials to the Chinese and foreign teenagers, and explained the twelve pen-making processes such as pen materials, basins, knots, sets, pudun, inlay, pen selection, and lettering.
"It turns out that a lake pen has to go through so many processes, and it also needs the cooperation of many craftsmen, and each process must be exquisite in order to make a beautiful lake pen. The Chinese and foreign teenagers present listened carefully to the explanation and were amazed.
With the deepening of the production process, everyone has gradually sorted out their clues, and under the serious production of Chinese and foreign teenagers, a lake pen was "born". The Chinese and foreign teenagers not only experienced the extraordinary charm of the traditional skills of the Chinese nation, but also had a deeper understanding of the culture of Tsubaki, and also gained friendship between China and foreign countries in the production process. Everyone picked up their own "exclusive" lake pen, and a full sense of accomplishment and joy filled the faces of each teenager.
At the same time, Chinese and foreign teenagers walked into the Rong Bao Zhai wooden watermark workshop to carry out an in-depth experience of intangible cultural heritage. The professional teacher explained the history and cultural inheritance story of Rong Bao Zhai, which has been more than 300 years old, and showed his exquisite woodboard watermark works, explaining the cultural connotation and technical characteristics of the works. With the wonderful explanation of the narrator teacher, Chinese and foreign teenagers were attracted by the dazzling array of calligraphy and painting works. The story of the painting and the introduction of woodblock watermarking not only allow Chinese and foreign teenagers to have a deeper understanding and knowledge of China's excellent traditional culture, but also allow them to experience the charm of Chinese traditional culture.
In the special task of visiting Liulichang, Chinese and foreign teenagers walked into time-honored enterprises such as Hongbaotang, Yidege, and China Bookstore in turn, and began to shoot historical films, promote calligraphy and painting videos, and visit stores to check in and collect stamps. During the visit, 30 Chinese and foreign teenagers cooperated to complete the task, recorded the time-honored culture of Chunshu from the unique perspective of teenagers, promoted the Four Treasures of the Study, Liulichang West Street and Zhengyangmen with the voices of teenagers, and left their feelings, suggestions and blessings on the postcard with teenagers' thinking...... It not only allowed the characteristics of Liulichang's time-honored brand to be promoted and disseminated, but also felt the unique cultural charm of Liulichang West Street.
30 Chinese and foreign teenagers gathered in Zhengyangmen to start a journey to visit the central axis. As the largest and most complete existing city gate tower on the central axis of Beijing, Zhengyangmen has a unique historical status. Under the leadership of the staff, Chinese and foreign teenagers not only visited the Zhengyangmen Tower, but also learned about the historical value and cultural significance of Zhengyangmen, and were deeply shocked by the wisdom of the ancients.
Coming to the afternoon sunshine and wearing the afterglow of the sunset, 30 Chinese and foreign teenagers went to Chunshu Street to carry out cultural exchanges, with content, fun, inspiration, and many unforgettable memories...... Everyone personally felt the unique charm of the culture on the central axis, and also had a deeper understanding of the Tsubaki culture. After the event, the international students said that they cherished this opportunity to experience the culture of Xicheng up close, and wanted to pass on the videos and photos they took to more overseas relatives and friends, so that everyone could go to Xicheng and Chunshu to have a more look. In the future, Chunshu Street will continue to give full play to the advantages of the rich cultural resources of the Chunshu area, show the regional cultural characteristics of Chunshu in multiple dimensions, strengthen the allocation of resources from all parties, attract more tourists and students to visit Chunshu, and continuously enhance the regional cultural influence and appeal.
