Diao Faxing, Asian elephant monitor in Jiangcheng County: More than 20 elephants gathered together, with eight baby elephants and two particularly small baby elephants, born in January. Because food is scarce in winter, it runs to the elephant canteen to eat, and grows some plantain and corn in it.
After eating and drinking, the elephant mother simply lay down on the edge of the ground to rest. The two naughty elephant babies pestered their mothers to play for a while, and rubbed their mothers with their buttocks for a while. At dusk, the elephant herd came to the river again, and at night, the staff used a thermal imaging infrared camera to photograph the scene of the baby elephant wading across the river.

According to the monitoring staff, most of the baby elephants wading across the river are young elephants born last year, one of which is a baby elephant born in January this year.
