走出低谷 川航2023年扭亏为盈

In the past, China's civil aviation had three major towns: the Yangtze River Delta, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

These three regions have a relatively high level of economic development, many routes between regions, and sufficient passenger and cargo and mail, which can be regarded as the ballast stone of civil aviation transportation.

However, the three major towns also have problems, all in the east, the driving role of the national civil aviation transport is not obvious enough, and the promotion of the optimization of the civil aviation transport network is not enough.

Intuitively speaking, the development of civil aviation west of the Hu Huanyong line is far from enough.

Hu Huanyong line

Civil aviation needs a fourth, or even fifth, town.

Therefore, it is very important to vigorously develop the civil aviation hub in Chengdu and Chongqing and enhance the civil aviation transport strength in the central and western regions.

The development of aviation hubs depends on airports and base airlines.

In this, the role that Sichuan Airlines can play is actually not small.

In the past few years of the epidemic, airlines have suffered serious losses, but fortunately, in 2023, they will slowly stabilize and rebound, and gradually get out of the predicament.

According to the news, Sichuan Airlines' revenue will rise sharply in 2023 and turn losses into profits.

From the perspective of business indicators, Sichuan Airlines will fly about 590,000 hours in 2023, an increase of nearly 50,000 hours compared with 2019, and double the nearly 300,000 hours in 2022.

In terms of specific data: in 2023, the total transportation turnover will be 5.80 billion ton-kilometers, the passenger traffic will be about 32 million, and the cargo and mail will be 320,000 tons, which will recover to 105.5%, 101.7% and 118.7% of 2019 respectively, and the overall recovery level of Sichuan Airlines is better than the industry level.

For the "hometown" Chengdu. As the main base airline in Chengdu, Sichuan Airlines will invest more than 100 aircraft in Chengdu Shuangliu and Tianfu in 2023, accounting for 21% of the Chengdu market, with an annual passenger traffic of 32 million passengers, doubling the total number of flights compared with before Tianfu Airport was put into operation, and more than 400 domestic and international flights in Tianfu and Shuangliu Airport combined.

This also made a lot of contributions to the throughput of Chengdu's two fields (Shuangliu and Tianfu) last year to reach 74.92 million.

In 2023, domestic routes will recover better, while international routes will recover at a slower pace. In 2023, Sichuan Airlines will resume routes to 21 countries and regions, with a total of 33 international routes to 30 cities around the world, with more than 160 flights per week.

At present, Sichuan Airlines operates more than 500 domestic and foreign routes, with a transfer ratio of nearly 30% for international flights and about 40-50% for intercontinental flights, forming a transit network with Chengdu as the core, radiating Europe, Oceania, North America, Africa, Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia, as well as international routes all over the world.

It is understood that Sichuan Airlines has been flying safely for 35 years since its inception, and operates the largest all-airbus fleet in China, with a fleet size of nearly 200 aircraft.

In addition to the Chengdu headquarters, it also has Tianfu, Chongqing, Yunnan, Beijing, Zhejiang, Heilongjiang, Shaanxi, Hainan, Xinjiang, Xichang, Tianjin, Nanning, Shenzhen and other branches and operation bases.

During the Spring Festival travel period in 2024, Sichuan Airlines plans to carry out 316 domestic and foreign routes, reaching 136 destinations, with an average daily planned flight volume of 738 flights, a year-on-year increase of 33%. Sichuan Airlines also plans to encrypt some international routes, including Chengdu Tianfu = Male, Tianfu = Singapore, Tianfu = Seoul, etc., to provide passengers with more travel options.

I hope that Sichuan Airlines will get better and better and continue to rise!
