As for the person who was fired but not arrested, he was named Qiu Jianzhong, who was the senior vice president of ViuTV's parent company, and in recent years was the assistant general manager of TVB Television Broadcasting (International) Co., Ltd., responsible for streaming media and overseas business.
Hong Kong media quoted so-called people familiar with the matter as saying that TVB's false personnel transfer information in recent years is related to three people, who, under the instructions of the behind-the-scenes operators, illegally used computers to access confidential documents and fabricated relevant information for dissemination, claiming that TVB's existing senior management will be subject to a major earthquake and will be fully taken over by the new boss and new senior management, which has seriously affected the normal operation of the company.
The person familiar with the matter also pointed out that this incident was a well-planned conspiracy with multiple participants, and the reason why it was exposed was because the relevant teams were infighting after failing to achieve their goals, and the above three people were only part of it, and as the investigation deepened, more TVB employees may be involved.
Earlier, TVB issued an internal letter to internal employees, making a statement on the dismissal and arrest, saying that in order to seek personal interests, the three employees conspired, assisted, and instigated outsiders to sabotage TVB's operation by improper means, and spread false information unfavorable to TVB, and the company has sufficient evidence and will fully cooperate with the police investigation.
