Since 2019, Yongping County has actively explored new ways of home-based elderly care services, and has invested more than 4 million yuan to successively build 7 home-based elderly care service center demonstration sites in counties, townships, villages and groups, and supporting the construction of 2 micro nursing homes and 2 happy canteens for the elderly. Over the past four years of operation, the company has recruited 26 employees, and after training, it has provided leisure and entertainment, health and fitness, rehabilitation physiotherapy, day care, meal service, door-to-door service and other elderly care services for the elderly. Since its operation, the seven home-based elderly care service centers have served a total of 108,000 elderly people, with a daily reception capacity of more than 400 people, a total of 450 home-based door-to-door services for 1,369 people, and a total of more than 7,000 meals for the elderly in the elderly happy canteen, which has been well received by all walks of life, especially the elderly, and has successfully explored a new way of professional and chain home and community elderly care services.
Since 2021, on the basis of carrying out day care services, meal services, micro-elderly care and other services in the home care center, Yongping has explored and carried out the ability assessment of 636 elderly people based on the "Ten Helps" and relying on the home care service center to carry out the ability assessment of the elderly, and carried out the elderly care skills training for 499 guardians or caregivers of the disabled elderly, and carried out physiological index monitoring, meal assistance, cleaning assistance, walking assistance, therapy assistance, massage and other life care, life care, rehabilitation physiotherapy, health management, etc. There were 1,369 person-times of spiritual comfort home service in 450 households.
In the process of serving Grandma Ma, Xiao Zhang, a staff member of the home center, often helped Grandma Ma make Chinese medicine hot compresses and massage her shoulders, while talking to her, and the old man often said to her with tears in his eyes: "We have caught up with the good times, we are usually sick and can't move, we don't have a talking partner, my daughter is married far away, and my son has to take care of me and my wife when he comes back from work on the construction site...... Now the national policy is good, let us enjoy such a service for free!"
Aunt Wang, a retired elderly woman whose children are working in other places and often stay alone at home, said: "The home center is my other home, every day I come to the canteen on time to eat, communicate with old friends, do physiotherapy together, and spend more time in the home center every day than at home. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Home Care Service Center for providing us with a comfortable and healthy life in our old age!"
