At 21:49 on January 30, 2024, the Yunyan District Fire and Rescue Brigade of Guiyang City received a report from the masses that a fire broke out in a resident's home on the 14th floor of Unit 2, Building A, Dongshan No. 1. At 21:50, the fire rescue force was immediately dispatched. At 10:25 p.m., the save ended. One trapped person was rescued at the scene and immediately sent to the hospital for treatment, but he died after all-out rescue.
After preliminary investigation, the cause of the fire was caused by fireworks and firecrackers, and sparks splashed into the room to ignite debris. During the rescue process, it was found that the fire hydrant could not be used normally due to the lack of hose interface.
After the fire broke out, Yunyan District launched an emergency response as soon as possible, made every effort to do a good job in fire rescue and aftermath treatment, and simultaneously organized and carried out the investigation and rectification of fire hazards in the community involved. In response to the problems found in the rescue process, the Yunyan District Government has set up a working group to investigate, and the relevant situation will be announced in accordance with regulations.
