Line 17 is a north-south high-volume express line with a maximum speed of 100 km/h. The increase in the speed of subway operation provides passengers with a more convenient travel experience, in contrast to higher requirements for rail smoothness. Liang Zhongdong, Chief Manager of BJMTR Operation Engineering, said that in order to improve the smoothness of the track, BJMTR took the lead in introducing the concept of Track Quality Index (TQI) as early as 2014, and formulated a control standard that is much higher than the industry standard "Technical Specifications for Maintenance and Repair of Urban Rail Transit Facilities" with a "TQI not exceeding 14.5". Through refined maintenance, BJMTR has taken the lead in the domestic rail transit industry in terms of TQI, and has improved the travel experience of passengers by improving the track status.

In the early stage of preparation for Line 17, in order to improve the track smoothness and ensure the stability and comfort of train operation, BJMTR joint design and construction units, combined with the actual needs of metro track operation and maintenance, abandoned the maintenance method dominated by manual experience, and introduced the latest technology of pile control network (CPIII.) in the fine tuning of the track smoothness of Line 17, that is, the application of intelligent total stations in the track to build 30- The high-precision three-dimensional control network with 60 meters of paired distribution is automatically measured and transmitted in real time through the test mode of free points, with the collection of data. At the same time, the measured data can be optimized and fitted, and the fine-tuning suggestions can be automatically generated through the software to provide a more accurate maintenance plan for TQI refinement, so that the TQI fine-tuning can be upgraded from "manual experience repair" to "precise scheme repair", and the goal of the TQI value of Line 17 is less than 5 is successfully achieved.
