According to Pandora Jewelry, mining silver and gold requires more energy and resources than recycling these two precious metals, and the new initiative could indirectly reduce the company's carbon dioxide emissions by 58,000 tons per year. The use of recycled silver can reduce CO2 emissions by two-thirds per year compared to mined silver, and the replacement of mined gold with recycled gold can reduce CO2 emissions by more than 99% per year.
