Chery Automobile has another hypothetical picture of a new model exposed, but this set of hypothetical design drawings was released by overseas media.
The new car adopts a grille design concept similar to that of the Tiggo 5x, with a dot matrix frameless design scheme, and the headlights (headlights) do not even have a frame, which is completely integrated with the grille, which feels more technological, as shown in the figure below.
This design concept is relatively new in pickup truck models, and it also forms a huge contrast with the traditional pickup truck design style, so it is difficult to conclude whether the design scheme will succeed, unless the product is cost-effective enough, and the power and fuel consumption performance can also be strong enough. As for the interior design, it is quite novel, with a wrap-around dual screen, the center console looks almost completely passenger, and its overall style is similar to the recent Changan Kaicheng Automobile Hunter pickup.
However, the Changan Hunter pickup truck uses a plug-in extended-range hybrid platform, with two series of rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive options, and the price mainly covers the range of 13-200,000 yuan, which is much more competitive than fuel vehicles.
Chery's new pickup truck has three series: fuel version, plug-in hybrid version and pure electric version, but the first version is expected to be fuel-powered, and the extended range and pure electric models will not appear in the short term, because the passenger models of the Chery brand have not really entered the electrification track, and only by completing the transformation of passenger cars or the development of new product lines can it be the turn of the commercial model camp.
About power
Chery Automobile does not have a well-known diesel engine, and there are no hot-selling diesel models for passenger and commercial models sold in China; only Karry builds commercial vehicles among its sub-brands, but Karry's sales are very low, and there was no monthly sales data for a time. Therefore, the diesel power version is not predicted for the time being, and the gasoline version is expected to use the same 2.0T engine as Tiggo 8/9, Xingtu Yaoguang, and Jietu Traveler, with a power parameter of 187kW/390N·m;

At present, only the Maxus T90 2.0T high-power diesel version of the domestic pickup truck has the same parameters as it, and its strength is also very strong, so the sales performance of the export overseas is quite good.
In the Asia-Pacific market, pickup trucks are still dominated by diesel vehicles, because diesel engines are relatively fuel-efficient.
Therefore, the most mysterious and noteworthy version of Chery Pickup is the diesel version, and we will continue to pay attention to this car in the future.
