I have to sigh that the new cars launched by independent brands in the past two years are really getting more and more expensive.
Does it make sense that the tank 700 Hi4-T is expensive?
Let's take a look at the design of the regular version, which is basically the same as the previous limited edition, but with some exterior trim missing.
Personally, I am generally not interested in off-road models in the style of non-"square boxes", and I am also indifferent to the tank 700 Hi4-T, but the aesthetics are also opinions, and here I just express my personal opinion. It's just that there will inevitably be some subjective factors when looking at the car, so based on the assumption that the appearance design does not attract me, the key factor in deciding whether to choose it is the power system and four-wheel drive system; first look at the power system, the car is equipped with Hi4-T and the tank 400/500 is different, the main difference is the engine. The 400/500 Hi4-T uses a 2.0T inline four-cylinder engine, of which the guide price of the tank 500 Hi4-T is 335,000 yuan, and the pre-sale price starts at 133,000 yuan higher than the tank 700 Hi4-T naturally can no longer use the same engine, so its engine is upgraded to 3.0T-V6, with a maximum power of 265kW, which is the same as the standard of the tank 500 fuel version and the Great Wall Shanhai Cannon pickup.
The combined parameter is 385kW/800Nm, and now the parameters of the electric motor can be calculated.
The maximum power of the electric motor minus the maximum power of the engine is the maximum power of the electric motor, and the standard is 120kW, which is the same as the tank 400/500 Hi4-T, but the maximum torque should be different. In the drive system of the tank 400/500 Hi4-T, the maximum torque of the electric motor is 400N·m, the engine is 380N·m, and the comprehensive maximum torque is 750N·m, while the maximum torque of the 3.0T-V6 engine of Great Wall Motors can reach 500N·m on the fuel vehicle, if the maximum torque of the motor remains unchanged, the comprehensive maximum torque should be 900N·m, and the comprehensive maximum torque is actually 800N·m.
Therefore, it is not yet possible to determine the parameters of the motor, but judging from the power difference, this car is characterized by strong power in hybrid mode and average power in pure electric mode.
Personal Opinion:
The power parameters of the Tank 700 Hi4-T are satisfactory, the combined power and maximum torque are not lower than the Mercedes-Benz G500 with the 4.0T-V8 engine, but the standard of the electric motor is somewhat unsatisfactory, because the car is a large off-road vehicle and the curb weight will be high. The maximum power of 120 kW is only the level of a general 1.5-liter engine, and the limit of a 2.0-liter gasoline engine can reach 220 kW, and even a diesel engine can reach 160 kW.
The power experience of the car in pure electric mode is conceivable, and plug-in hybrid vehicles use pure electric mode most of the time, so it would be better if the Hi4-T hybrid system had a high-power motor solution above the C/D class off-road vehicle.
Even if the 120kW P2 motor is used in the tank 300, its pure electric mode does not have a surging power experience, it is recommended that car enthusiasts who are interested in this car should focus on experiencing the acceleration of pure electric mode in the test session, and to test in the full speed range, whether the power of this mode can be accepted is the key reference to determine the final choice.
