With his sincere love for art, Li Xiaofeng painstakingly studied the works and techniques of Chinese and foreign masters without professional training, integrating the characteristics of Eastern and Western paintings, and creatively integrating expressionist techniques into the style of neo-realist painting, presenting a shocking picture effect.
Li Xiaofeng's non-academic experience has led him to his own artistic path. Without the targeted guidance of his mentor, he turned his attention to ancient and modern Chinese and foreign artists, such as the Western Russian Itinerant School, French Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Chinese Green Landscapes, etc., absorbing the brush and ink skills of many art schools, integrating them, and constructing his own unique artistic style, which is very personal.
Li Xiaofeng's artistic exploration has two main aspects, one is the natural landscape, he studied in the creation of all things, and realized the relationship between heaven and earth, the brushstrokes of the picture are extremely delicate and realistic, and all corners of the picture are taken care of. There is no dogmatic framework, and his artistic creation is more derived from artistic intuition. Li Xiaofeng's artworks sincerely express the world in his eyes, abandoning the paradigmatic composition design concept, without the external regulations of thematic graphic creation, the colors are bold and unrestrained, and the brushstrokes are direct and simple, so that his artistic creation has a primitive and simple natural atmosphere.
On the other hand, Li Xiaofeng is intoxicated by the profound culture of China for 5,000 years, from the artistic inspiration of ancient Chinese architecture to the ancient and transcendent mystery of Buddhist cave art, he has been able to gradually achieve epiphany, and his artistic path has entered a new stage. This series of works with delicate brushstrokes, unrestrained knife techniques and rich layers, or reproduce the charm of the grotto art of Chinese civilization, or express the deep affection for the hometown of Confucian Qilu culture, or praise the national spirit of perseverance and survival in difficulty, or explore the integration of the East and the West in the expression of formal beauty, reflecting the unremitting pursuit and arduous exploration of the emotional power of light, shadow and color based on the soil of real life and with sincere and realistic techniques.
