On Android, eSIM between devices has been launched, simple phone change, but it is not for everyone
The eSIM virtual SIM technology is designed to make the user's life easier as it eliminates the need to physically change the SIM card when changing carriers. But on Android devices, it's hard to transfer an eSIM from one phone to another, and you usually need to go to a carrier office. But now this problem has been solved.
A year ago, at MWC 2023, Google promised to launch an eSIM transfer tool between Android devices. The search giant seems to have kept its word. Therefore, the first to notice this opportunity were buyers of the Pixel 8 series last fall, when, when setting up a new smartphone, they were offered to transfer the eSIM from the old "pixels". Now, buyers of the new Samsung Galaxy S24 have started to report this possibility in large numbers. One of the users, the system offered to transfer the SIM card from LG V60 ThinQ to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It also works in both directions between Samsung and Google smartphones.
The eSIM transfer process is as simple as possible, as the user only needs to consent to the transfer, and then a window will appear on the old device to scan the QR code on the new smartphone.
