A high monk in the Tang Dynasty fed the little pigeon with rice porridge every day, and the pigeon was grateful and formed a fate with him

Master "Mingdu" was a famous monk in the Tang Dynasty. One day, he had a strange dream. He dreamed of two lovely little children and said to him with a smile: "We are the little pigeons that you have always fed!"

Thank you for often chanting sutras and reciting Buddha for us, and now, we are about to be reincarnated as human beings, and we will be reincarnated into the Li family next door to you. If you don't believe me, you can come by often and see us!"

The Li family next door is very kind, they have been married for many years, they have no children of their own, they often go to the temple to burn incense, worship Buddha, in order to one day, to ask for a noble son, Master Mingdu also knows them.

Unexpectedly, it didn't take long for Mrs. Li to become pregnant, and ten months later, she gave birth to twin sons.

The next day, Master Mingdu came to the Li family, and the Li family and his wife were very happy to see the master, and hurriedly welcomed them into the door. The couple often come to the temple to burn incense and worship the Buddha, and their son is the one they asked for Guanyin Bodhisattva, and it was not easy for them to ask for it.

Today, Venerable Mingdu has arrived, just in time to bless the child. After making good tea, he respectfully asked, "Master!

Master Mingdu smiled and didn't answer, but said to him, "Congratulations, I heard that Madame has given birth to a pair of twins, can you take them out and have a look?"

"Of course you can!" the Li family and his wife smiled, they were full of joy, and hurriedly took out their twin sons.

Master Mingdu took a look: they both looked like tigers, with big eyes and bright eyes. Seeing Master Mingdu was like seeing a loved one, and I screamed with joy.

I saw the master holding a child in one hand and shouting at them: "Pigeon!". What I didn't expect was that the two children seemed to understand, and quickly babbled in response. On his face, he smiled, and his hands waved happily.

When Gen Mingdu saw their reactions, he knew that the scene in his dream that day was true, and that they were indeed the reincarnation of two pigeons.

It turned out that in the last years of Tang Taizong's Zhenguan, under the eaves of Master Mingdu's meditation room, there lived a pigeon.

This pigeon later gave birth to two little pigeons, which grew up under the careful care of Master Mingdu, and when they saw Master Mingdu coming, they flew over happily and stood on the shoulders of the Master to spread joy.

Master Mingdu liked the little pigeon very much, he was afraid that the little pigeon would be hungry, so he often saved the rice porridge he drank, and then, "Whew!", made a very loud whistle.

As if they could understand the whistle, the two pigeons rushed down happily, and Master Mingdu hurriedly fed the rice porridge to the two little pigeons.

The two little pigeons were happily eating millet porridge while listening to the scriptures recited by Master Mingdu, as if they could understand it, and they raised their heads for a while, and lowered their heads for a while in contemplation.

The two pigeons grew up day by day, with snow-white feathers and red beaks, becoming more and more beautiful.

They pair up, like a pair of close girlfriends, and like a loving couple, chattering and calling every day. The yard has become warm and lively because of them.

They gradually became stronger and stronger, and slowly, they were no longer willing to call under the eaves, and they slowly practiced flying.

Master Mingdu looked at this pair of lovely pigeons, his eyes were full of hope, hoping that the wings of this pair of pigeons would gradually harden, and he hoped to see them in the blue sky, constantly flying, higher and higher each time, more and more powerful.

Maybe it was because of the urgency, but unexpectedly, the accident finally happened, and the two pigeons practiced flying again one day. As a result, after only a few flutters of wings, he fell from the sky and fell to the ground and died.

Master Mingdu watched his beloved pigeon fall to its death, and his heart was full of sadness. With tears in his eyes, he recited the three refuge vouges for the pigeon: taking refuge in the Buddha, taking refuge in the law, and taking refuge in the Sangha.

Then, silently, he found an open space and buried the two pigeons. In the place where he was buried, a small tree was planted, and now the little tree has grown to the height of a man.

That night, Master Mingdu had a dream that the two doves had broken away from the dove's body and were reincarnated as human beings. They thanked Master Mingdu for his kindness and gave him a dream to reassure Master Mingdu.

Venerable Mingdu practiced diligently, meditated, chanted Buddha, preached sutras and teachings every day, and gradually, his fame spread far and wide, and countless disciples took refuge in his name.

In this story, Master Mingdu saw the puzzled eyes of the Li family and his wife, so he told them the cause and effect of the incident, and the Li family and his wife thanked Master Mingdu.

This pair of twins can speak when they are more than a year old, and later they have become blessed and long-lived people, and their relationship with Master Mingdu has also been widely recited and has become a good story.
