Zhou Zhongbing of Jilin University submitted an explanatory article "Examination of the "Servant Tai" as Seen in the Unearthed Documents" won the first prize.

"Tai" is an ancient term for slaves, and just looking at this oracle bone symbol, you may not imagine what it has to do with "Tai". The paper written by Zhou Zhongbing made a complete explanation of this word for the first time from the perspectives of form, sound and meaning.

After many years, the key to deciphering the "code" lies in Zhou Zhongbing's keen discovery of a contradiction.

"As a low-status slave, there are many use cases of 'tai' in handed down documents, but there are only four cases of use cases in unearthed documents, which can be described as rare. On the contrary, the meaning of "tai" and "servant", which are close to the meaning of "tai", have many use cases in unearthed documents. At the beginning of the paper, Zhou Zhongbing asked.

Such an explanation is put into the ancient text, and the sentences that were difficult to interpret before are suddenly clear. For example, there is a use case in oracle bone inscriptions for "giving a tai" to show that a "tai" can be rewarded like an item, proving its low status.

Zhou Zhongbing based on the three characters "Servant Tai" in ancient books to express low status, and the word "Servant" is common in oracle bone diction, but "Taiwan" is rare. So he took this questioning as the starting point, and after some "grafting arguments" of the Yiyin shape "Qiankun Great Shift", he finally proved this character to be the "Taiwan" character that Zhou believed expressed a low status.

So what exactly should this "word" be interpreted?

Judging from the structure of this character, it is composed of three parts: "courtiers". The meaning of the words is "minister" and "son". "Minister, son" is the soul and skeleton of this word, these two parts are the basic components of this word, and they will never change. The two words "minister" express the aggravated meaning, and this part is a repetitive expression. Therefore, in the process of the circulation of Chinese characters, the complexity of the writing of the two "ministers" should be changed.

According to the above ideas, a search for the characters containing "courtier" and three parts in modern Chinese characters reveals the following glyphs:

Comparing the two characters with the oracle bone characters to be cracked, it is obvious that the glyph and meaning of the second character are more in line with the original character to be cracked.

The word "two ministers" retains one, the other is simplified to "again", and "son" remains the same. This "character" is consistent with the original oracle bone script from the glyph to the meaning of the word.

This word is "孯", read "Jian qian", through the tapping, when fastened.
