Beijing police revealed that they found a woman surnamed Deng in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, who lived in Xi'an, but had a record of takeaway in 18 provinces and cities, and claimed to have found foreign objects more than 200 times in takeaway in half a year.
The police pointed out that the woman surnamed Deng ordered takeout at home almost every day, and the food delivery addresses were all at the door of each community, and after the meal was delivered, she would contact the merchant, saying that she had eaten insects, nails and other foreign objects, and asked the merchant to compensate.
After the police investigation, it was found that in addition to the woman surnamed Deng, 13 other people also engaged in similar behavior, and they repeatedly blackmailed the takeaway platform and demanded compensation on the grounds that there were foreign objects in the food or the food was expired.
The police mentioned that at present, a number of suspects, including a woman surnamed Deng, have been criminally detained on suspicion of extortion and fraud, and the case is under further investigation.
